After an initial foray into the Philippines market, the client sought out Robert Walters to ramp up their in-region recruitment to better support their business objectives. The client’s APAC leadership was based in India and therefore unfamiliar with the Philippines’ cultural nuance, which made our expertise in the territory a key asset for their offshoring efforts.
There was, however, one key goal we had to meet. We had to hire, and fast – an incredibly tight lead time of 4 weeks to service delivery kick-off. Excited by the challenge, we quickly got to work.
During our diagnostics, we quickly discovered that our client was unsure of where their skilled headcount needs were to be found. We quickly remedied their concerns with targeted insights from our RW Insights platform, providing market behaviour, talent pool heatmaps, and salary benchmarks to quickly bring them up to speed.
Another complication was the type of credentials our client needed – the professionals they required had to be FINRA-certified to effectively serve their customer base, a certification not commonly found in the Philippines. Given the time sensitivities we were working with, this Project RPO solution would not only call for a localised recruitment process but also require ready, skilled recruiters on hand to execute it.
Given the client’s urgent need for highly specialised talent, while also prioritising their long-term local brand development needs, we designed a bespoke solution based off our Project RPO model. Project RPO is our insights-led, scalable outsourced recruitment solution designed to support organisations needing to fast-track hiring and improve candidate quality, whilst reducing time to hire and recruitment spend.
This end-to-end solution covers all aspects of the recruitment process and is powered by our curated team of 1 Team Lead and 3 Direct Recruiters, all based onsite alongside the client’s local headquarters.
After a lightning-quick implementation process of 4 weeks, the operational team of highly skilled recruiters was quickly called upon to deliver an initial batch of 80 hires within the first four months. The client’s initial processes would be buckled under the high volumes, but our bespoke recruitment process exceeded expectations on that front, streamlining potential bottlenecks and improving process efficiencies while maintaining high candidate quality. Our industry-leading 70% conversion rates, along with a 4.96/5 candidate experience rating, have been sustained through two more ad-hoc hiring cycles executed upon the client’s request, with more to come.
Another accolade worth noting is the successful conduct of a 5-day recruitment drive within the first month of service delivery, which generated 520 passively sourced and direct applications across all channels, with similarly high conversion rates from final interview to offer.
Our partnership with the client has extended beyond their volume hiring needs. Leveraging Robert Walters’ global talent capabilities beyond Project RPO, we’ve also successfully identified and placed 6 senior-level positions in-region for our client, highlighting our desire and ability to go above and beyond in meeting any talent need, in any context.
