Making a difference in my own way

Beginning of 2023, I made a life-changing decision to switch careers from a Fintech background and become a recruitment consultant. As soon as I joined, I was entrusted with a challenging role that required a highly specialised talent pool. Finding candidates who were the perfect fit for this role proved to be quite tough, especially since recruitment was new to me. However, in less than three months, I achieved my first placement which I owe to the unwavering support of my team, particularly my manager, Rini.

Rini and team provided me with clear guidance without micromanaging me. They gave me the space to figure things out on my own and to carve my own path, which reflects the amount of trust they have in me, but at the same time I always knew they were there for me, ready to accommodate my countless questions. 

Although I haven't even reached my first work anniversary, I am already grateful for the decision I made to become a recruitment consultant at Robert Walters. I’m proud of the success stories I have been a part of; from the placements I’ve made to the lasting relationships I have built with clients and candidates.

This has been made possible thanks to the excellent work environment that nurtures an entrepreneurial mindset. Here, I am encouraged to be independent and work autonomously, yet I never feel alone because I am surrounded by supportive, positive, and self-motivated individuals.
