Our client is seeking a seasoned GM of Sales. This role is an exciting opportunity for a sales professional to develop and manage relationships with hardware and service providers, driving revenue and profit growth through sales of datacenter hardware, software and services. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing customer relationships, working closely with product teams, and providing solutions to customers within the channel.

What you'll do:

As a GM of Sales, your role will be pivotal in driving the company's success. You will be responsible for determining customers' needs, providing source data for communications, obtaining market share, assessing market data, facilitating inventory turnover, and determining pricing. Your ability to prospect for new customers via various methods, develop relationships with prospective buyers, create specialized inventory lists, develop business plans and sales strategies will be key in this role. You will also liaise with various departments to ensure smooth operations.

  • Determining customers' needs and desires by specifying the research needed to obtain market information.
  • Providing source data for hardware/parts communications by defining hardware/parts marketing communication objectives.
  • Obtaining hardware/parts market share by working with sales director to develop hardware/parts sales strategies.
  • Assessing hardware/parts market data by calling on customers with field salespeople and evaluating sales call results.
  • Assessing hardware/parts value on buyback opportunities to maximize sales, revenue and profit margin.
  • Facilitating inventory turnover and product availability by reviewing and adjusting inventory levels.
  • Determining hardware/parts pricing by utilizing market research data; reviewing aging inventory costs; anticipating volume; costing special and customized orders.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this position brings a wealth of experience in sales, particularly in B2B enterprise settings. With a university or college degree under your belt, you have spent at least 10 years honing your skills in the field. Your proven track record of reaching and exceeding monthly goals speaks volumes about your commitment to success. Your ability to work well under pressure, meet tight deadlines, understand customer needs, and navigate market dynamics are all crucial assets that you bring to this role.

  • University or college degree preferred.
  • 10 years of Sales Experience
  • B2B Enterprise experience preferred.
  • Proven track record of having a goal-oriented approach to reaching and exceeding monthly goals.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and within short deadlines
  • Experience with enterprise hardware and services solutions
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements
