What you'll do:
As a Senior IT Support Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of all hardware systems for the Indonesian office. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve responding quickly to requests from around 100 colleagues, diagnosing issues with laptops, desktops, networks, and other devices. You will collaborate closely with the multinational IT team based in Vietnam, sharing information and learning from their experiences. Whether providing support remotely or on-site, you will adapt your methods to meet the needs of each situation. By maintaining detailed records of equipment status and offering guidance on best practices, you will help foster an environment where everyone feels supported. Your ability to educate others gently and patiently will be key to empowering staff members while contributing positively to the overall workplace culture.
- Provide comprehensive IT support for approximately 100 team members across Indonesia, ensuring their hardware needs are met efficiently and responsively.
- Troubleshoot hardware issues including laptops, desktops, network devices, and peripherals, delivering solutions that minimise downtime and enhance productivity.
- Collaborate with the multinational IT team by reporting to colleagues in Vietnam, sharing updates and insights to maintain seamless operations.
- Offer both offline and online support, adapting your approach to suit remote or on-site requirements as needed by the business.
- Maintain accurate records of hardware inventory, repairs, replacements, and upgrades to ensure transparency and accountability.
- Assist in setting up new equipment for staff members, including configuring laptops, network connections, and other essential devices.
- Monitor network performance and address connectivity issues promptly to guarantee reliable access for all users.
- Educate team members on best practices for hardware usage and basic troubleshooting techniques to empower them in their daily tasks.
- Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on emerging technologies and improve your technical proficiency.
