What you'll do:

* Guide technical discussions within the Product Team, acting as the primary source of support for troubleshooting and advice on engineering matters.
* Translate business requirements into detailed technical designs that drive product development forward.
* Actively participate in Agile ceremonies such as Refinement, Planning, Review, and Retrospective alongside the Product Team.
* Adapt Agile processes to suit the needs of both the team and specific projects, ensuring optimal workflow and collaboration.
* Establish a strong engineering culture within the Product Team and Frontend Chapter by promoting high standards of code quality, scalability, and maintainability.
* Monitor and measure key Business and Engineering metrics related to performance, quality, and availability; work regularly with your team to improve these metrics.
* Mentor and coach software engineers by sharing your expertise and nurturing their professional development.
* Take technical responsibility for developing and supporting complex engineering solutions across multiple platforms.

The ideal candidate for the Engineering Manager position brings extensive hands-on experience developing scalable applications using modern frameworks such as Laravel, React/next.js, React Native, JavaScript, and Java. Your background includes decomposing complex front-end applications into reusable components while leveraging micro-frontends for modularity. Familiarity with CMS platforms like Adobe Experience Manager adds value to your profile. You possess deep knowledge of API protocols including REST APIs as well as expertise in AWS Cloud technologies supported by proficiency in CI/CD workflows. Your academic credentials include at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related fields. Having led small teams before, you excel at communicating technical concepts clearly across diverse audiences. You are attentive to quality standards—establishing best coding practices—and adept at managing stakeholders effectively. Your approach is collaborative: you enjoy working cross-functionally on architectural decisions while maintaining excellent code quality from both functional and non-functional perspectives. Additional strengths include solid understanding of data structures/algorithms; familiarity with DevOps methods; experience designing end-to-end solutions including cloud backends for edge applications; object-oriented programming patterns; database querying (NoSQL/SQL); virtualization/containerization technologies like Docker/Kubernetes/LXC; teamwork applying modern Agile Software Development practices; creative thinking; attention to detail; enthusiasm for learning new technologies; empathy; interpersonal skills; commitment to nurturing others’ growth.

* Extensive experience developing applications using Laravel, React/next.js, React Native, JavaScript, and Java with a focus on scalable solutions.
* Proven ability to decompose front-end applications into reusable code components or shared libraries while building micro-frontends.
* Experience with CMS platforms such as Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) or similar systems is highly desirable.
* Strong understanding of API protocols including REST APIs; able to design robust integrations between systems.
* Expertise in AWS Cloud technologies combined with practical knowledge of CI/CD tools and workflows for efficient deployment.
* Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science or related IT field demonstrating solid academic foundation.
* Experience leading small teams with excellent communication skills for articulating ideas clearly across engineering and non-engineering audiences.
* A keen eye for quality demonstrated by establishing good coding practices and improving code coverage throughout projects.
