What you'll do:
As a Finance and Control ERP Manager based in Jakarta, you will be responsible for ensuring that all aspects of financial data processed through the organisation’s ERP systems are accurate and compliant with international standards. Your day-to-day activities will involve reviewing complex accounting logic embedded within the system’s processes; validating automated journal entries; assessing debit-credit logic at transaction level; ensuring correct mapping between operational transactions and accounting entries; verifying compliance with IFRS as well as local statutory requirements; reviewing inventory valuation methodologies; validating costing calculations; analysing production costing; reviewing landed cost calculations; performing transaction tracing from source documents through sub-ledgers to financial statements; investigating system-generated variances; documenting end-to-end business processes; recommending process improvements; developing controls to minimise manual intervention; liaising with various stakeholders including external consultants and auditors; preparing project status reports; presenting findings to management; producing root cause analysis reports on finance process issues; supporting strategic transformation initiatives. Success in this role requires meticulous attention to detail combined with strong collaborative skills as you work across departments to deliver robust solutions that drive accuracy in financial reporting.
- Lead finance participation in ERP enhancement and implementation projects by collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure system design meets business needs.
- Review and validate ERP business requirements from a finance perspective, translating them into functional specifications for developers and consultants.
- Perform detailed User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for finance-related developments to guarantee that new features comply with accounting principles and internal control requirements.
- Support ERP rollout, upgrades, and post-implementation reviews by providing expert guidance on configuration and process controls.
- Review accounting treatments embedded within ERP processes to ensure automated journal entries are accurate and compliant with relevant standards.
- Validate mapping between operational transactions and accounting entries at a granular level to maintain integrity throughout the financial reporting cycle.
- Assess inventory valuation methodologies within ERP systems by verifying costing calculations, inventory movement logic, standard cost calculations, weighted average cost calculations, actual cost calculations, production costing, manufacturing accounting logic, landed cost calculations, allocation methodologies, and their impact on the General Ledger.
- Perform transaction tracing from source documents through sub-ledgers to financial statements to investigate variances and reconciliation differences.
- Document end-to-end business processes by analysing workflows, identifying gaps, recommending improvements or automation opportunities, developing controls to minimise manual intervention and financial risk.
- Liaise with Finance Teams, Operations Teams, Supply Chain Teams, Manufacturing Teams, Commercial Teams, IT Teams, External ERP Consultants, Auditors as the primary finance representative for all ERP-related matters.
