HEAD OF IT DATA SERVICES A leading Financial technology company in Jakarta is seeking a Head of IT Data Services to spearhead the transformation and modernisation of its data ecosystem. This VP-level position offers you the opportunity to shape the future of data technology.

What you'll do:

As Head of IT Data Services based in Jakarta, this position is critical in strengthening the company’s ability to use data as a strategic asset, supporting business decision-making, digital initiatives, analytic, and future AI-based capabilities. This position is part of a broader technology restructuring and will report directly to the CTO of the company.

• Lead the overall IT Data Services function, covering Data Warehouse, Big Data, BI, DBA, Data Mart, Data Engineering, and Data Infrastructure.
• Own the strategy, design, development, and modernisation of the company’s data warehouse and data platform.
• Drive the build and enhancement of scalable data platforms, including cloud-based data management and big data infrastructure.
• Lead data engineering initiatives, including ETL, data pipeline development, data integration, and data transformation.
• Ensure high-quality data architecture to support reporting, analytic, business intelligence, lending products, and future AI use cases.
• Strengthen data governance, including data quality, data ownership, standards, controls, and compliance.
• Lead and improve data visualisation and BI capabilities to support management reporting and business decision-making.
• Partner closely with business, product, risk, finance, operations, and technology stakeholders to translate business needs into practical data solutions.
• Manage a large technical team, including managers, principal engineers, data solution leads, DWH specialists, BI, Big Data, and DBA teams.

The ideal candidate for Head of IT Data Services brings extensive experience managing multifaceted IT functions across engineering disciplines as well as analytic platforms. Your proven ability to develop strategies for modernising complex ecosystems demonstrates both technical acumen and visionary thinking.

• Extensive experience managing large-scale IT data services functions covering engineering, warehousing, big data analytic, business intelligence platforms, database administration, infrastructure management, governance frameworks, and cloud-based solutions.
• Proven track record in developing strategies for modernising complex data ecosystems within enterprise environments.
• Proven experience in creating, building, or modernising a Data Warehouse or enterprise data platform.
• Strong hands-on understanding of ETL, data pipelines, data integration, data transformation, and data modelling.
• Experience managing data platforms and data services in a cloud environment.
• Experience in financial services, banking, fin-tech, technology-based companies, or telecommunications is highly preferred.
• Strong business understanding with the ability to connect data strategy with business growth, risk management, operational efficiency, and customer outcomes.
