What you'll do:
As Segment Manager - (Energy, Power and Oil & Gas) based in Jakarta, you will play a pivotal role in driving new business opportunities across diverse subsegments. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve building relationships with key stakeholders—ranging from power producers to oil & gas operators—and translating technical opportunities into commercial wins. You will focus on capturing complex projects through systematic account prioritisation while ensuring disciplined execution throughout long-cycle sales processes. Success in this role requires you to balance direct engagement with distributor leverage, develop repeatable routines for account conversion, and foster a culture of collaboration within your team. - Develop and execute strategies to accelerate growth across Power, Oil & Gas by identifying high-potential accounts and projects within fragmented opportunity sets.
- Build technical-commercial credibility with maintenance, reliability, engineering, procurement, operations, project, and executive stakeholders to lead value-based selling initiatives.
- Prioritise resources effectively by segmenting accounts and applications, creating multi-year strategies that deliver measurable results from focused allocation.
- Capture long-cycle projects through systematic stakeholder mapping, direct engagement with distributors and partners, and disciplined pursuit reviews.
- Expand direct business as well as distributor- and partner-led routes to market by balancing engagement across multiple buying centres and technical standards.
- Lead the segment team in developing capability, assessing people objectively, upgrading talent when required, and installing a disciplined operating rhythm.
- Maintain forecast integrity, margin discipline, and stakeholder follow-through during extended investment cycles, tenders, turnarounds, and approval processes.
- Demonstrate urgency and accountability without sacrificing ethics or commercial discipline while collaborating closely with Application Engineering, Customer Service, regional/global experts.
- Personally lead priority pursuits instead of only reviewing activity to ensure qualified pipeline coverage against agreed segment targets.
- Contribute to cross-segment execution by sharing best practices with other teams and supporting the development of segment value propositions.

- Strong technical-commercial insight enabling effective engagement with maintenance, reliability, engineering, procurement, operations, project management, and executive stakeholders for value-based selling.
- Track record of coaching teams towards disciplined pursuit reviews while objectively assessing capability gaps and upgrading talent as needed.
- Ability to sustain pursuit over extended investment cycles—including tenders/turnarounds—while maintaining forecast accuracy, margin discipline, and stakeholder follow-through.
- Evidence of managing complex long-cycle opportunities from early specification through contract award without losing commercial control or ethical standards.
- Experience balancing direct engagement with distributor/partner leverage to expand business reach across multiple buying centres.
