What you'll do:

As Commercial Manager Electronics in Jakarta, you will be entrusted with full responsibility for managing day-to-day relationships with distributors while overseeing commercial performance across all categories. Your role will involve developing joint business plans that set ambitious targets for growth while ensuring alignment on channel priorities and promotional activities. You will lead robust data sharing processes—turning analytics into clear actions—and chair regular reviews to keep performance on track. Retail execution will be under your guidance: from fixtures to pricing strategies both in-store and online. You’ll identify scalable best practices that drive success at retail level while partnering with marketing teams to ensure launches are both exciting for consumers and commercially viable. By providing grounded local insights on shopper behaviour and competitor activity you’ll help shape product assortment decisions.   • Act as the primary commercial contact between the organisation and local distributors for all product categories and sales channels, building dependable partnerships based on trust and shared goals.
  • Own and manage joint business plans by aligning on targets, channel priorities, launch strategies, and promotional calendars to ensure sustainable growth.
  • Lead data sharing and reporting processes including sell-in, sell-out, inventory management, channel performance analysis, and customer insights; translate numbers into actionable strategies.
  • Chair regular performance reviews and strategy sessions to ensure clarity of objectives and effective execution across retail and digital platforms.
  • Ensure retail displays, fixtures, pricing strategies, promotional mechanics, and online content consistently reflect brand standards across key retailers and marketplaces.

  • Partner closely with local Marketing Managers and regional teams to align commercial initiatives with marketing campaigns for maximum impact.

  • Over six years’ experience in Key Account Management, Channel Management or Distributor Management within consumer electronics or premium FMCG sectors; proven record of success required.
  • Bachelor’s degree essential; MBA preferred for candidates seeking advanced commercial roles.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead the growth of a consumer electronics brand from early stages through to strong market presence with embedded distribution networks.
  • Experience translating market insight into actionable commercial strategy resulting in measurable gains in market share.
  • Proven track record managing distributors or large national key accounts with visible over-delivery against sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of retail operations across modern trade channels as well as power retailers; familiarity with omnichannel models highly desirable.
  • Comfortable handling data analytics and reporting; able to challenge assumptions during performance reviews and drive impactful decisions.
  • Experience working within large established companies or multinational corporations; ability to bring structured commercial rigour into entrepreneurial environments.
  • Native Bahasa Indonesia speaker with strong English proficiency for effective regional collaboration.
