Our client is seeking a Business Development Manager with a focus on Orthopedic (Hip and Knee Implant). What you'll do:
As a Business Development Manager in Orthopedic, your primary responsibility will be driving brand recognition and profitable financial growth within your assigned territory. You will create and implement strategic business plans that align with overall company objectives. Your role will involve working closely with Channel Partners, helping them grow through training and education. You will also play a crucial part in launching new products by understanding internal processes and executing necessary steps for success. Your ability to coordinate with various stakeholders will allow you to review current market trends and propose innovative business ideas that can enhance revenue & margins.
- Achieve budgets for the assigned product portfolio
- Report on business prospects, competitor activities, market trends and sales performance within the assigned markets
- Perform risk assessments, analysis, and evaluation of customer needs
- Assist with coordinating deal execution process, including due diligence activities on potential targets and transactions
- Maintain BD pipeline reports and trackers
- Work with Management team to improve the overall effectiveness and optimization of business processes and portfolios
- Follow-up with customers to ensure satisfaction with products and/or services provided
- Train and coach staff to maximize effort and performance
- Create and execute on detailed sales plan to achieve revenue objectives
- Ensure distributors complete all compliance training modules/requirements within the set timeframes
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Business Development Manager role brings over 10+ years of experience in healthcare or medical device sales management. You have spent 3-5 years managing channel partners or distributions, as well as 3-5 years in Orthopedic sales, You have the ability to present financial information clearly and effectively. Your strong project management skills and excellent customer management abilities will be crucial in achieving sales through effective business plans with Channel partners.
- Over 10 years’ experience in healthcare/medical device sales management
- 3-5 years’ experience in channel partner/ distribution management
- 2 - 3 years in Orthopedic Hip and Knee Implant business
- Ability to present financial information
- Strong project management skills
- Excellent customer management skills along with Channel partners using agreed business plans
- High level of knowledge on the assigned product range, roadmaps, competitor product, pricing, market share and key product differentiation
