Surabaya Business Development Manager (Freight Forwarding)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a seasoned Business Development Manager with a strong background in freight forwarding, shipping or logistics industry. This role is based in the vibrant city of Surabaya and offers the chance to be an individual contributor to generate revenue for all products including freight, warehouse, distribution, and customs.
What you'll do:
As a Business Development Manager based in Surabaya, your primary role will be to drive revenue generation across all product lines. You will be responsible for managing cross-functional interfaces between sales and operations while also keeping abreast of market trends. Your ability to demonstrate initiative, creative thinking, problem solving and conflict resolution skills will be key to your success. Working in a diverse environment and culture, you will need to build strong networks and relationships.
- Generate revenue for the business across all products including freight, warehouse, distribution, and customs

- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related discipline
- Minimum 8 years of relevant working experience in freight forwarding, shipping or logistics industry
- Strong functional knowledge in air, ocean, logistics or supply chain management
- Fluency in English and local dialects

- Effective interpersonal, communication and people management skills
