What you'll do:

As a Key Account Manager based in Jakarta, you will immerse yourself in building deep connections with key customers while championing the implementation of strategic business plans. Your daily activities will involve collaborating closely with distributor partners, analysing market data to inform decision-making processes, and ensuring seamless execution of promotional campaigns across both brick-and-mortar outlets and digital platforms. You will be responsible for monitoring sales performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement through store visits and data analysis, and working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to close any gaps. By nurturing strong relationships with both internal stakeholders and external partners, you will help drive brand exposure, deliver sustainable growth, and ensure the highest standards are met throughout every stage of the customer journey. Your ability to balance analytical rigour with empathetic communication will be essential as you guide distributor teams towards shared success while upholding the organisation’s core values.

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of key customers’ strategies, priorities, and needs in order to drive superior business outcomes and create lasting competitive advantage.
  • Build strong engagement with customers by co-creating joint business plans that deliver mutually beneficial results and foster long-term partnerships.
  • Manage trade spending effectively by ensuring all investments deliver meaningful return on investment and align with approved budgets.
  • Coordinate closely with distributor sales forces and merchandising teams to ensure flawless execution of the 5Ps (Product, Price, Place, Promotion, People) across all channels.
  • Drive omnichannel growth by assessing customer performance across the 6P+A framework (including analytics), identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing targeted action plans.
  • Meet regularly with customers to build support for business initiatives, translating insights into actionable customer plans that reflect both strategic objectives and operational realities.
  • Leverage data analytics to facilitate fact-based conversations and effective negotiations with stakeholders at multiple levels within customer organisations.
  • Provide valuable insights to internal teams (such as Regional Managers or Sales Development Managers) and collaborate on the development of improvement programmes that address identified gaps.
  • Visit retail stores frequently to monitor compliance with agreed plans, identify causes for any shortfalls, and develop corrective actions in partnership with distributor representatives.
  • Lead distributor sales forces and merchandising teams by providing clear direction on standards of excellence while engaging agency leadership teams to secure appropriate support for business goals.

  • Proficiency in using Google suite products—especially Sheets, Docs & Slides—to analyse data and prepare reports is necessary.
  • Excellent command of English language skills (both written and spoken) is required for effective communication across diverse teams.
  • Strong analytical skills with proven experience leveraging data insights to inform commercial decisions are critical for success in this role.
  • Ability to adapt quickly under pressure within a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail is important.
  • Experience coordinating with distributor sales forces or merchandising agencies would be advantageous but not mandatory.
  • A track record of building positive relationships with customers through empathy, active listening, and solution-oriented thinking is highly desirable.
