  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and Supply Chain to deliver impactful improvement projects that drive real business outcomes.
  • Benefit from exposure to international standards and best practices in manufacturing excellence while enjoying flexible working opportunities and ongoing professional development.

What you'll do:

As a Continuous Improvement Manager based in Bekasi, Indonesia, you will play an instrumental role in transforming manufacturing operations within the building materials industry. Working hand-in-hand with various departments—including Operations, Maintenance, Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain—you will ensure that cross-functional initiatives are executed seamlessly. Your analytical skills will be put to use as you interpret complex performance data to inform strategic decisions. Additionally, you will support major CAPEX projects by embedding continuous improvement principles from inception through execution. Success in this role means not only delivering measurable improvements in KPIs but also nurturing an inclusive culture where every team member feels empowered to contribute towards ongoing excellence.

  • Develop, implement, and sustain a comprehensive continuous improvement framework designed to elevate quality standards, ensure workplace safety, boost productivity, and optimise cost efficiency across all plant operations.
  • Lead end-to-end process optimisation projects utilising Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and Six Sigma methodologies to identify inefficiencies and deliver sustainable solutions.
  • Analyse performance metrics by linking key performance indicators (KPIs) to operational performance indicators (OPIs), then design and execute targeted actions to close identified gaps.
  • Facilitate engaging problem-solving workshops and capability-building sessions for plant teams to foster a culture of shared learning and continuous development.
  • Work collaboratively with Operations, Maintenance, Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain departments to deliver cross-functional improvement initiatives that align with organisational goals.
  • Support the integration of continuous improvement principles into capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects as well as new product or process launches for seamless transitions and optimal outcomes.
  • Track, monitor, and report on the progress of improvement projects by measuring outcomes against financial impact targets and ensuring transparency for all stakeholders.
  • Drive employee engagement by increasing participation in continuous improvement programmes through effective communication and motivational strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with internal audit requirements by maintaining robust documentation of processes and demonstrating positive audit results through consistent process adherence.

What you bring:

To excel as a Continuous Improvement Manager in this dynamic environment, you will bring extensive experience from manufacturing sectors where operational efficiency is paramount. Your educational background equips you with the technical acumen required for complex process analysis. Years spent navigating the intricacies of cement production or similar industries have honed your ability to identify root causes of inefficiency while implementing sustainable solutions. Your familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma ensures you can deploy industry-leading methodologies tailored to specific challenges faced by modern plants. Beyond technical prowess, your interpersonal skills allow you to coach diverse teams effectively—building trust while encouraging open dialogue around process enhancements. You are adept at managing multiple stakeholders whose priorities may differ yet must converge for successful project delivery. Certification in Lean or Six Sigma further underscores your dedication to continuous personal development. Ultimately, your blend of analytical thinking, collaborative spirit, clear communication style, and unwavering commitment positions you as an invaluable asset capable of driving lasting transformation.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Management or a related field is required for this position as it provides the technical foundation necessary for success.
  • A minimum of 7–10 years’ experience working within manufacturing environments—preferably within cement production, building materials, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), or other process industries—is essential for understanding industry-specific challenges.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Lean Manufacturing techniques along with hands-on experience applying Six Sigma tools is crucial for driving meaningful change.
  • A strong track record of leading cross-functional improvement projects that have delivered measurable results showcases your ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Exceptional analytical abilities combined with advanced coaching skills enable you to guide teams through complex problem-solving scenarios while fostering growth.
  • Proven stakeholder management capabilities are vital for aligning diverse interests towards common objectives within large-scale operations.
  • Holding a Six Sigma Black Belt or Lean certification is highly desirable as it reflects your commitment to professional excellence and mastery of best practices.
  • Experience supporting the integration of continuous improvement principles into capital expenditure projects or new product/process launches demonstrates your versatility.
  • Excellent communication skills are needed for facilitating workshops and presenting project outcomes clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
