Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager for Line Haul & Fleet Management. This role is based in Jakarta and offers an exciting opportunity to lead and transform a team of 50 members. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating and determining strategic alternatives related to the follow-up of package journey data analysis results from vendors to Lastmile. They will also develop long-term strategies in terms of procurement and management to enhance operations.

What you'll do:

As a General Manager for Line Haul & Fleet Management, your role will be pivotal in driving operational efficiency. You will be responsible for evaluating strategic alternatives, formulating effective strategies, monitoring cooperation with 3PL vendors, overseeing the performance of the line haul and fleet team, as well as managing budgets related to vehicle maintenance. Your ability to develop long-term procurement strategies will play a crucial role in enhancing operations. Furthermore, your knack for identifying improvement opportunities through data analysis will contribute significantly towards achieving organisational goals.

  • Evaluate and determine strategic alternatives related to the follow-up of package journey data analysis results from vendors to Lastmile.
  • Evaluate solution recommendations when there are problems in the Line Haul process.
  • Formulate strategies and monitor cooperation with 3PL vendors for smooth delivery processes and area expansion.
  • Formulate strategies and monitor the performance of the line haul and fleet team to meet operational needs.
  • Evaluate the results of vehicle needs analysis and company vehicle maintenance to support operational productivity.
  • Monitor budgets related to routine maintenance and repair of all vehicles.
  • Develop long-term strategies in terms of procurement and management to enhance operations.
  • Formulate strategies, analyse data and fleet performance for identification of improvement opportunities.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this General Manager for Line Haul & Fleet Management position brings strong analytical thinking skills, technical proficiency in conducting analyses, experience in handling line haul/fleet/vendor management, strong leadership skills with a proven track record of transforming teams. Advanced proficiency in Excel, understanding programs for processing data, able to present effective reporting is also required. Fluency in English is essential.
