What you'll do:
As an Infrastructure Project Officer based in Jakarta, you will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence across a portfolio of infrastructure projects. You will collaborate closely with both local partners and international stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and consultation. By participating in project teams alongside headquarters or regional directorates, you will help coordinate efforts that contribute to Indonesia’s sustainable trajectory. Your involvement extends beyond operational management—organising supervisory missions for technical meetings ensures that every aspect of project delivery is meticulously overseen. Establishing robust relationships with local authorities, NGOs, businesses, donors, research institutes, and other partners will be essential for fostering communal progress. Representing the agency during sectoral consultations further positions you as a trusted connector between various stakeholders. Monitoring cross-cutting issues such as project programming by ministries or procurement conditions will require your attention to detail while supporting intellectual output initiatives allows you to contribute meaningfully to sectoral dialogue. - Prospect and identify new opportunities within designated sectors such as transport, water and sanitation, urban development, meteorology, and resilience to natural hazards.
- Participate actively in the preparation, evaluation, and formalisation of projects financed through sovereign loans to the Indonesian government and non-sovereign loans to public enterprises.
- Monitor project execution closely by assessing risks and overseeing contracts awarded directly by the agency to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Work collaboratively with the regional middle office team to monitor the portfolio in terms of regulatory and financial risk.
- Join project teams in conjunction with headquarters or the Regional Directorate in Bangkok to ensure seamless coordination across all levels.
- Organise and support supervisory missions for technical meetings and mission debriefings both in Jakarta and provinces.
- Consult regularly with subsidiaries such as Proparco and Expertise France to align activities within relevant areas.
- Establish and maintain strong contacts with local partners including national authorities, public agencies, counterparties, donors, research institutes, NGOs, businesses, and the French Embassy.
- Represent the agency during sectoral consultations with national authorities, service providers, technical partners, and financial stakeholders.
- Monitor cross-cutting issues such as project programming by ministries of planning and technical ministries; oversee local authority financing arrangements; track procurement conditions; observe organisational structures of public companies.
