- Serve as the primary liaison for all fragrance-related activities within the personal care category in Indonesia, ensuring clear communication between local teams and global partners.
- Develop and maintain a proactive perfume menu by leveraging global resources to optimise locally managed products and streamline complexity across various stock-keeping units.
- Oversee the implementation of mandatory regulatory changes related to fragrance compliance, ensuring timely adaptation to industry standards such as IIFRA requirements.
- Stay attuned to evolving consumer preferences by gathering olfactive insights and monitoring market trends to inform fragrance selection and development.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with regional coordinators to ensure rapid responses within established frameworks and agreed ways of working with global design leads.
- Facilitate consumer testing initiatives by working closely with market-facing teams to gather feedback directly from end users, supporting data-driven decision-making.
- Lead local efforts in olfactive understanding and mapping, providing expert guidance on scent profiles that align with brand objectives.
- Design and deliver training sessions on regional trends for factory staff and quality assurance teams, fostering knowledge sharing across departments.
- Drive the agenda for fragrance simplification by partnering with business units to identify opportunities for streamlining product offerings without compromising quality.
- Support competitive tracking activities by evaluating fragrances in the marketplace, contributing valuable insights to maintain a leading edge.
Requirements:
- A minimum of one year’s experience working within a fragrance house or similar environment where you have developed practical expertise in scent evaluation.
- A bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Cosmetic Science or a related field that provides a strong foundation in scientific principles relevant to product development.
- A keen sense of smell coupled with an analytical approach to olfactive assessment, enabling you to distinguish subtle differences in fragrance profiles.
- Demonstrated agility in adapting to new challenges and technologies, showing curiosity and enthusiasm for continuous learning within a fast-evolving sector.
