Make a real impact in a reputable company working with major industry players. Take your career to the next level with this rewarding role.
As a Supply Chain Planner, you will be entrusted with orchestrating the entire supply chain process from master production scheduling through to inventory management. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve close coordination with various departments—procurement, production, logistics—as well as frequent interaction with regional colleagues in Singapore and Malaysia. You will be expected to anticipate material needs based on robust forecasting methods, design effective packaging strategies, manage intercompany transfers efficiently, and keep meticulous records for reporting purposes. Success in this role hinges on your ability to balance multiple priorities while maintaining clear communication channels across diverse stakeholder groups. Your efforts will directly contribute to the smooth operation of one of Indonesia’s most prominent food manufacturing sites.
- Develop and maintain master production schedules to ensure optimal utilisation of resources and timely fulfilment of customer orders.
- Plan raw material requirements by analysing demand forecasts and coordinating with procurement teams to guarantee uninterrupted production flows.
- Design packaging plans that align with production needs and inventory targets, collaborating closely with suppliers and internal departments.
- Coordinate intercompany transfers by managing logistics planning between factories and regional hubs, ensuring efficient movement of goods across locations.
- Oversee inventory management processes by monitoring stock levels, conducting regular stock opname activities, and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Prepare detailed reports for both internal and external stakeholders, providing insights into supply chain performance, inventory status, and forecast accuracy.
- Collaborate intensively with regional teams in Singapore and Malaysia to align local operations with broader organisational objectives.
- Support daily operational planning by participating in cross-functional meetings and addressing any issues that may impact supply chain continuity.
- Contribute to ongoing projects related to new factory builds or process improvements by offering supply chain expertise and practical solutions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, quality, and regulatory standards throughout the supply chain process.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 4-5 years’ proven experience specifically in supply chain planning or forecasting within the food manufacturing or feed mill industry is essential for this role.
- Demonstrated proficiency in using SAP modules such as Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and Master Production Scheduling (MPS) is required for daily operations.
- Fluency in English is necessary due to regular collaboration with regional teams based outside Indonesia.
- Strong interpersonal skills are vital for building effective relationships with both internal colleagues and external partners across different cultures.
- Excellent analytical abilities are needed to interpret complex data sets related to inventory levels, demand forecasts, and production schedules.
- Experience preparing comprehensive reports for diverse audiences—including senior management—is highly valued in this position.
- A collaborative mindset is important as you will work closely with cross-functional teams on both routine tasks and special projects.
- Attention to detail is crucial when managing stock opname activities or reconciling discrepancies between physical counts and system records.
- Adaptability is important given the project-based nature of some assignments linked to new factory developments or process enhancements.
