What you'll do:
As Senior Division Manager – Retail Health & Beauty you will play a central role in shaping the commercial direction of the Health & Beauty business unit. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement strategic initiatives that drive sales growth across diverse categories such as skincare, cosmetics, personal care products, hair care solutions, fragrances as well as health & wellness offerings. You will be responsible for monitoring key performance indicators to ensure optimal results while maintaining high standards of operational excellence throughout the retail network. By partnering with Merchandising teams and Brand Principals you will bring innovative products to market through impactful launches and exclusive activations. Your focus on customer experience will see you championing beauty consultations and wellness solutions that foster loyalty among shoppers. - Develop and execute comprehensive business strategies for the Health & Beauty division that align with corporate objectives and market demands.
- Deliver on ambitious sales targets, gross margin goals, and EBITDA benchmarks by driving category growth across skincare, cosmetics, personal care, hair care, fragrances, health & wellness products.
- Monitor key commercial KPIs such as sales growth, sell-through rates, average basket size, conversion rates, category mix optimisation, and inventory turnover to ensure sustained performance.
- Ensure consistent execution of retail standards across all stores by promoting operational efficiency, productivity improvements, cost optimisation initiatives, merchandising excellence, and planogram compliance.
- Maintain product availability while minimising stock losses and shrinkage through robust inventory management practices and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with Merchandising teams to optimise category assortment and product lifecycle management; partner with Brand Principals on product launches, promotional campaigns, exclusive activations, and vendor-funded marketing initiatives.
- Analyse market trends, consumer behaviour patterns, and competitor activities to identify new growth opportunities; introduce emerging beauty and wellness trends into the business unit.
- Deliver a premium customer experience focused on beauty consultation and wellness solutions by ensuring high standards of service across all stores; promote loyalty through CRM programmes and membership initiatives.
- Lead and coach Regional Managers, Area Managers, and Store Managers to build a high-performance culture centred on accountability; develop succession plans and provide regular product knowledge training for frontline teams.
- Own the P&L for the Health & Beauty division by developing annual budgets, forecasts, business plans; optimise labour costs, operating expenses, inventory investments; monitor promotional ROI and category profitability.

Your academic background includes a relevant bachelor’s degree—preferably complemented by an MBA—and you have demonstrated success managing multi-site operations with responsibility for category performance optimisation. You possess deep expertise in health & beauty category management along with strong commercial acumen enabling you to craft strategies that drive both sales growth profitability. Your proven ability in P&L management covers budgeting forecasting resource allocation cost control inventory investment monitoring promotional ROI analysis—all essential for achieving financial targets. - Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Pharmacy or Retail Management or related discipline is required; an MBA qualification is highly advantageous for this position.
- A minimum of 12–15 years’ experience in retail management with at least 5 years spent in senior leadership roles overseeing multi-site operations within health & beauty retail or FMCG environments.
- Proven track record managing large-scale retail operations including category performance optimisation across skincare, cosmetics or pharmacy chains.
- Expertise in health & beauty category management coupled with strong commercial acumen for developing strategies that drive sales growth and profitability.
- Strong brand acquisition experience would be a plus.
- Demonstrated ability in P&L management including budget development forecasting resource allocation cost optimisation inventory investment monitoring promotional ROI analysis.
