A leading Indonesian fashion group is seeking a Creative Director to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of its multi-brand portfolio, which includes some of the most recognisable names in denim and lifestyle apparel. This is an exceptional opportunity for you to join a company at the forefront of retail transformation, where your creative vision will directly influence brand perception, consumer engagement, and commercial success. As the organisation embarks on a journey to modernise and elevate its brands, you will be empowered to translate high-level creative strategies into compelling campaigns, distinctive visual languages, and memorable consumer experiences across digital and physical touchpoints. With a supportive leadership team and a collaborative environment that values innovation and cultural relevance, this role offers you the platform to make a lasting impact while working with talented professionals who share your passion for creativity and excellence.
- Be at the heart of a major brand transformation project, driving creative standards and storytelling for multiple established fashion labels with strong market presence.
- Work closely with senior leadership to shape creative concepts from vision through execution, ensuring every campaign resonates with target consumers while maintaining each brand’s unique identity.
- Benefit from a collaborative culture that encourages knowledge sharing, professional growth, and continuous learning within a dynamic and supportive team environment.
What you'll do:
As Creative Director Retail Apparel, you will be impacting national reach through digital channels and retail networks alike— entrusted with translating visionary ideas into tangible results that drive both emotional connection with consumers and measurable business outcomes. Your daily focus will involve orchestrating multidisciplinary teams across art direction (photography/video/graphic design), content creation (short-form video/social media/campaign derivatives), fashion styling (outfit pairing/layering/accessories), as well as collaborating closely with marketing functions to align content objectives with broader channel strategies. Success in this role means not only producing visually stunning work but also building enduring brand perceptions rooted in cultural relevance—ensuring every touchpoint reflects contemporary tastes while supporting commercial goals. You’ll have the autonomy to implement new standards of excellence while mentoring your team towards greater independence; your ability to balance creativity with operational rigour will be key in elevating each brand’s profile within Indonesia’s competitive fashion landscape.
- Translate the creative vision and direction provided by the Chief Creative Officer into actionable concepts, storytelling frameworks, visual directions, and robust executions for all brands under the group’s umbrella.
- Lead day-to-day creative operations from initial brief through to final output, overseeing campaigns, photography, video production, graphic design, content creation, styling initiatives, digital projects, e-commerce assets, and retail creative deliverables.
- Act as the guardian of creative quality by ensuring that ideas and visuals for each brand remain distinctive, relevant, consistent, and aligned with both brand positioning and commercial objectives.
- Build and nurture a high-performing creative team capable of delivering work at elevated standards while fostering collaboration, independence, and professional development among team members.
- Develop big creative ideas for brand campaigns—including seasonal launches and always-on content—by crafting moodboards, key visual directions, campaign worlds, and storytelling treatments that connect emotionally with consumers.
- Maintain clear differentiation between each brand’s visual language and character by implementing tailored guidelines for photography style, video tone, graphic design elements, typography choices, composition rules, and overall visual expression.
- Direct art direction efforts for campaign photoshoots, video productions (including lookbooks and e-commerce shoots), guiding photographers and videographers on composition, lighting techniques, framing decisions, movement cues, mood setting, and narrative flow.
- Collaborate with fashion stylists to define model looks, wardrobe pairings, accessories selection, fitting processes, and styling languages that enhance product desirability without compromising commercial relevance.
- Provide hands-on guidance throughout pre-production planning stages as well as during shooting sessions; oversee editing workflows including retouching and colour grading to ensure final selections meet high standards.
- Offer strategic input on model casting decisions, location scouting activities, set design choices, makeup artist partnerships (MUA), and coordination with external production partners.

Above all else: you are passionate about using creativity as a tool for connection—building brands that inspire loyalty & spark conversation among diverse audiences.
- At least five years’ experience as a Creative Director or in an equivalent senior creative leadership position within fashion retail or related industries such as beauty or premium consumer brands.
- A proven background in art direction with demonstrable experience leading complex creative projects or managing multidisciplinary teams across campaign development cycles.
- A strong portfolio showcasing expertise in fashion editorial work—spanning advertising campaigns through to lifestyle content—with an emphasis on conceptual thinking and visual storytelling.

- Hands-on experience collaborating with stylists on model selection/outfit curation/accessory integration/fitting processes/styling language development for both campaign shoots & social content.
- Contemporary visual taste paired with acute commercial awareness; ability to interpret digital/social media/e-commerce requirements into effective creative executions that resonate across platforms.
- Track record of translating abstract brand directions into concrete executions while maintaining high-quality output standards within fast-moving environments.
- Excellent interpersonal skills enabling you to foster collaboration within teams; adept at providing constructive feedback & nurturing talent towards shared goals.
