Associate (General Corporate & Litigation) Role:
As an Associate (General Corporate & Litigation) professional based in Jakarta, you will play an integral role in supporting the legal team’s efforts across both transactional corporate work and contentious litigation matters. Success in this role requires you to demonstrate strong analytical abilities, excellent communication skills in both Bahasa Indonesia and English, as well as a genuine enthusiasm.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts and agreements such as shareholder agreements, joint ventures, and service contracts with meticulous attention to detail.
• Advise clients on intricate aspects of company structuring, foreign investment regulations, mergers and acquisitions, as well as compliance with Indonesian laws.
• Support due diligence processes by conducting thorough research and analysis during mergers, acquisitions, and business expansion activities.
• Assist in handling civil and commercial litigation cases by preparing comprehensive legal pleadings, memoranda, court documents, and other necessary filings.
• Represent clients during court hearings.
• Provide strategic advice on dispute risks by evaluating potential outcomes and recommending effective legal strategies tailored to each client’s needs.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation affecting corporate transactions and litigation procedures in Indonesia.

To succeed in the Associate (General Corporate & Litigation) role, you will bring proven experience where you have handled both transactional corporate assignments as well as contentious litigation files.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (S.H.) from a reputable Indonesian university is required.
• Licensed to practise law in Indonesia with PERADI certification.
• 4 - 8 years of experience working in a law firm where you have gained exposure to both corporate and litigation matters.
• Exhibit strong research capabilities along with advanced drafting skills for contracts, pleadings, memoranda, and other legal documentation.
• Able to attend and handle court proceedings without supervision.
• Showcase excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Bahasa Indonesia and English.
• Display a proactive attitude towards problem-solving while being able to collaborate effectively within teams or work independently when needed under time constraints.
