What you'll do:

As Head of Legal, you will be entrusted with steering all legal functions associated with some of Bali’s most exciting new developments. Your days will be filled with diverse challenges—from managing intricate land acquisitions to negotiating high-value contracts that underpin the success of luxury hotels and leisure facilities. You will serve as the key point of contact for all legal matters locally while maintaining close ties with decision-makers in Jakarta. • Oversee all legal operations related to major property development projects in Bali, including hotels, clubhouses, and golf courses.
• Manage land acquisition processes by ensuring compliance with local regulations and securing necessary permits for construction activities.
• Draft, review, and negotiate construction agreements as well as hotel management contracts to safeguard organisational interests.
• Provide expert guidance on litigation matters involving landlords or other parties, representing the company’s interests effectively in any disputes.
• Collaborate closely with senior management teams based both in Bali and Jakarta, delivering clear reports and strategic recommendations on legal issues.
• Lead and mentor a dedicated legal team comprising two experienced managers and one administrative staff member, fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Coordinate with external law firms or consultants when required for specialised advice or representation in high-stakes deals.
• Ensure all financing arrangements are legally sound by preparing security documents and supporting due diligence processes for funding initiatives.
• Act as the primary representative for legal affairs in Bali while maintaining strong communication channels with stakeholders across different business units.
• Support ongoing business operations by providing timely legal advice on day-to-day matters as well as long-term strategic planning.
