What you'll do:

As Head of Legal, you will be entrusted with overseeing all aspects of legal affairs within a dynamic organisation operating at both national and international levels. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve offering strategic counsel on governance matters, ensuring rigorous compliance with evolving regulations, managing intricate contract negotiations, and guiding cross-border transactions. You will work hand-in-hand with senior leaders to anticipate risks before they arise while also identifying opportunities for growth through sound legal frameworks. Success in this role requires not only technical excellence but also an ability to foster collaboration between departments—ensuring that every business initiative is underpinned by robust legal support. • Provide expert legal advice to the Founder and senior management team on matters relating to corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation strategies across multiple sectors.
• Ensure that all company operations adhere strictly to local Indonesian laws.
• Monitor legislative changes proactively and communicate their potential impact on business activities to stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to protect the company’s interests in both domestic and cross-border transactions.
• Lead negotiations with external parties including clients, vendors, regulators, and other stakeholders to secure favourable outcomes for the organisation.
• Collaborate closely with internal departments such as finance, operations, and commercial teams across the globe to provide proactive legal support for new initiatives or ongoing projects.
• Develop forward-looking legal strategies that align with long-term organisational goals while balancing risk management with emerging business opportunities.
• Anticipate future challenges by analysing trends in law and regulation across relevant industries and jurisdictions.
• Provide innovative solutions to complex legal issues while maintaining high standards of integrity and professionalism in all dealings.

What you bring:

Your background should include significant exposure to investment structuring as well as M&A transactions—demonstrating your capacity for navigating complex deal-making processes. In addition to technical expertise in Indonesian corporate law (and familiarity with international standards), your interpersonal skills will set you apart: you are adept at building consensus among diverse teams; you communicate persuasively; and you approach every challenge with integrity.

• Professional working proficiency in English enabling clear communication across international operations.
• Licensed Advocate under the Indonesian Bar Association (PERADI).
• Proven experience handling investment deals as well as mergers & acquisitions transactions and financing arrangements within complex corporate environments.
• Comprehensive understanding of corporate law along with regulatory frameworks applicable in Indonesia—and internationally where relevant—to ensure effective oversight of all legal matters.
• Exceptional analytical skills paired with meticulous attention to detail which enable you to identify risks early and propose practical solutions.
• Outstanding communication abilities allowing you to explain complex legal concepts clearly to non-legal colleagues while building trust-based relationships internally and externally.
• Demonstrated negotiation skills honed through direct involvement in high-stakes contract discussions involving multiple stakeholders from various sectors.
• High level of integrity coupled with professionalism when dealing with sensitive information or confidential matters affecting the organisation’s reputation or financial standing.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure whilst managing multiple priorities efficiently within a fast-paced environment characterised by frequent change.
