Investment Support (Private Equity)

Salary: Competitive and based on experience

Location: Jakarta

Keywords: collaborative, dependable, supportive, organised, detail-oriented, inclusive environment

A leading investment authority in Jakarta is seeking an Investment Support to join their highly respected team. This is a unique opportunity for you to play a vital role in supporting the investment process, ensuring seamless transaction execution and robust documentation. You will be part of a collaborative environment where your attention to detail and organisational skills will directly contribute to the success of high-impact investments.

Join a reputable investment institution in Jakarta and work alongside experienced professionals who are passionate about making a difference in Indonesia’s financial landscape; benefit from exposure to complex transactions and diverse projects.

What you'll do:

As an Investment Support, you will play an integral role in ensuring that every aspect of the investment process runs smoothly. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve working closely with the Investment Team on transaction preparation and execution, handling essential administrative duties such as document management and payment processing, and keeping meticulous records of all costs associated with due diligence. You will also be responsible for maintaining comprehensive documentation for each transaction in line with committee requirements, organising key materials for meetings, and preparing minutes in Bahasa Indonesia. In addition to these core duties, you will assist with periodic audits and compliance assessments while regularly updating critical reports that inform decision-making across the organisation. Success in this role requires exceptional organisational skills, strong attention to detail, effective communication abilities in both English and Bahasa Indonesia, and a genuine commitment to supporting your colleagues throughout every stage of the investment lifecycle.

  • Provide comprehensive support to the Investment Team during all stages of transactions by preparing and executing necessary documents in accordance with internal policies and regulations.
  • Manage administrative tasks such as document execution, payment processing including intercompany payments, and maintaining the virtual data room for investment activities.
  • Track investment costs meticulously, including diligence expenses, ensuring accurate records are maintained for each transaction.
  • Ensure thorough documentation for all transactions as required by the Investment Committee, including preparing various memos and offers while adhering strictly to internal guidelines.
  • Maintain an organised repository of transaction documents and coordinate closely with relevant functions to facilitate smooth execution of deals.
  • Support the administration of Investment Committee meetings by coordinating schedules with executive assistants, managing discussion materials from deal teams, and preparing detailed minutes of meetings in Bahasa Indonesia.
  • Assist with ad-hoc assignments such as supporting internal audit processes at least twice annually and contributing to self-assessment exercises related to compliance.
  • Undertake regular compliance-related tasks including updating company watch lists, providing monthly deal updates for oversight bodies, and maintaining an up-to-date investment pipeline report.
  • Collaborate with the Financial Control & Planning (FCP) team to engage effectively with potential partners and stakeholders as required by ongoing projects.

What you bring:

To excel as an Investment Support, you will bring hands-on experience from previous roles involving investment or legal support where you have developed a deep understanding of transaction workflows. Dependability is one of your hallmarks; others know they can count on you for timely updates on critical matters such as compliance watch lists or pipeline reports. You are comfortable stepping into new challenges—whether assisting during audits or adapting processes based on feedback—and always maintain a positive outlook even when juggling multiple responsibilities.

  • Demonstrated experience in investment support or legal support roles or similar functions that require familiarity with transaction stages and documentation processes.
  • Approximately 3-6 years of working experience in law firm, private equity or investment firm.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook for efficient document creation, data tracking, and presentation preparation.
  • Reviewing documents and preparing memorandum.
  • Excellent command of both Bahasa Indonesia and English, enabling clear communication during discussions as well as precise documentation preparation.
  • Strong organisational skills with proven ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining accuracy under tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional attention to detail when handling sensitive documents or tracking financial information related to investments.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams while building positive relationships across departments.
  • Dependable approach towards meeting recurring deadlines for compliance updates, reporting obligations, and committee deliverables.
  • Willingness to take on ad-hoc assignments such as supporting audits or self-assessments as needed by the business cycle.
  • Proactive attitude towards problem-solving combined with a flexible mindset that adapts easily to changing requirements.
