As a Senior/Managing Consultant, you’ll be a senior figure within your team. It’s a varied role that will see you working very closely with your clients to develop robust relationships and uncover new opportunities for us to support them.
Acting as a role model to other Recruitment Consultants, you should be a high achiever and a top biller – someone who’s adept at winning hearts and minds; and bringing in new business. Although you won’t have direct line management responsibilities, this role could be the perfect stepping-stone into a managerial position.
What You Will Do
Candidate Management
- Professionally and effectively manage the recruitment process from beginning to end, championing a great candidate and client experience
- Lead from the front in generating revenue and billing consistently within your industry vertical
Client Engagement
- Drive a consultative approach to clients; by building a strong knowledge and understanding of each client’s organisation and developing and implementing a range of recruitment campaigns and proposals targeted and catered to their needs
- Take responsibility for key client relationships, resolving any issues and ensuring we always deliver upon or exceed all expectations
- Provide market updates to candidates, clients and colleagues
- Understand Robert Walters commercial terms and negotiating fees (within pre-agreed parameters) to secure new and retain existing business
- Develop existing client relationships and generate new business by networking, gathering market information and making business development calls
- Maintain and exceeding SLA’s in place with our clients
- Ensure regular contact points with clients to build positive, productive, and long-term corporate relationships
Seek Opportunities & Thought Leadership that foster business growth
- Demonstrate thought leadership through white papers, organisation of industry round table events and industry focused webinars to engage clients and candidates.
- Lead from the front in Business Development initiatives and strategies
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of their relevant markets
- Drive and lead vertical specialisation updates and meetings internally to ensure industry and market knowledge is shared across the multiple industry verticals
- Support your manager in identifying team and individual areas for development, deputising for them in their absence
- Provide guidance to other team members on all aspects of recruitment, mentoring less experienced colleagues
- Regularly champion and lead from the front in digital advertising for roles in the relevant trade press
- Be on pulse with industry developments and continually seek and identify areas for business growth
- Manage and close complex deals as well as selling our unique and value-add services across the Robert Walters Group

- Some experience coaching, mentoring, or leading junior team members
