What you'll do:
As Head of Corporate Affairs, you will play a central role in shaping how the organisation is perceived by stakeholders ranging from pet owners to government officials. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve developing strategies that enhance corporate reputation through thoughtful leadership in health nutrition. You will manage scientific communications aimed at boosting advocacy among veterinarians, breeders, NGOs, retailers, and pet owners. By advocating for regulatory environments conducive to brand prosperity, you will help safeguard business interests while promoting responsible practices. Internally, you will foster associate engagement through inspiring communication tactics that reinforce organisational purpose and sustainability goals. - Deliver an exceptional consumer experience across all communication channels by aligning with global consumer care standards and ensuring best-in-class service.
- Establish the organisation as a scientific thought leader in the animal health industry by developing networks of key opinion leaders, academics, breeders, NGOs, retailers, and pet owners.
- Coordinate with SEA Corporate Communication teams to deploy external corporate communication activities that build reputation through media relations and community engagement.
- Oversee budget management at country level to achieve defined objectives while leading a direct team of four reports plus external providers.
What you bring:
Your proven experience as Head of Corporate Affairs will demonstrate your ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships while driving strategic initiatives aligned with organisational vision. You bring deep knowledge of scientific communications—whether through PR or internal comms—and have successfully engaged associates at all levels. Your academic background in veterinary science or related fields equips you with technical expertise needed for thought leadership in health nutrition. Advanced degrees such as MBA or Master’s in Science further strengthen your capacity for strategic planning. You are IT literate, enabling you to leverage digital tools for impactful messaging across various channels. Fluency in English ensures seamless communication with local associates as well as regional partners. Diplomacy is second nature to you when dealing with KOLs or government officials; your advocacy skills help promote sensible regulation that benefits both pets and brands. Leadership qualities such as consensus building allow you to foster inclusive collaboration within teams while navigating ambiguity with agility. Experience at management level means you understand how to deliver consistent results even when faced with complex challenges.
- Degree in veterinary science or another biological science, business administration or communication is required for this role.
- MBA or Master’s degree in Science is highly desirable as it demonstrates advanced knowledge relevant to corporate affairs.
- Higher university degree preferably in Marketing or Communication would be advantageous for strategic planning responsibilities.
- At least five years’ experience managing people with proven track record in associate development and team engagement is essential.
- Solid experience managing scientific communications or PR including internal communications is necessary for success.
- Comprehensive understanding of brand values within specialised markets such as pet health nutrition is important for stakeholder engagement.
- IT literacy is required for effective deployment of digital communication strategies across multiple platforms.
