What you'll do:

As a Private Equity Associate/Sr Associate based in Jakarta, you will immerse yourself in the day-to-day management of a dynamic regional portfolio. Your responsibilities include supporting existing investments through strategic guidance and operational involvement while also playing an integral role in identifying new opportunities for growth. You’ll be expected to travel regularly outside Jakarta to connect directly with portfolio companies—ensuring your input is both practical and impactful. By collaborating with colleagues across Southeast Asia, you’ll gain valuable exposure to diverse markets such as Singapore, India, Vietnam, Thailand, and the Philippines. Your success in this role hinges on your ability to balance administrative precision with creative curiosity during deal sourcing; your contributions will help drive successful exits like IPOs while positioning the fund for continued expansion. • You will manage current portfolio companies across multiple sectors including healthcare, financial services, consumer goods, logistics, and education by providing hands-on support and guidance.
• You will actively participate in exit strategies such as IPOs and other liquidity events for select portfolio companies.
• You will leverage available capital from new funds to identify and evaluate additional investment opportunities within Indonesia and the broader region.
• You will engage in monthly travel outside Jakarta to maintain close relationships with portfolio companies and ensure effective oversight on the ground.
• You will collaborate closely with regional teams in Singapore, India, Vietnam, and the Philippines to share insights and best practices across markets.
• You will conduct thorough due diligence on potential investments by analysing market trends and sector-specific dynamics.
• You will be deeply involved in deal sourcing activities by building networks with local entrepreneurs and industry leaders.
• You will support ongoing monitoring of portfolio performance through regular reporting and stakeholder engagement.
• You will contribute to knowledge sharing within the team by participating in training sessions and workshops.

• You have proven experience executing private equity transactions valued at a min. USD 20-30 mio —demonstrating your dependability in managing significant investments.
• You possess strong interpersonal skills that enable you to build trust-based relationships with management teams across multiple countries.
