You'll shape agent success by equipping them with the skills and confidence to perform. This hybrid role offers a mix of online and in-person sessions, supporting flexibility and work-life balance.

As an Agency Training Manager, you will be responsible for designing and delivering impactful training experiences that empower agency members throughout their first year. Your days will be filled with facilitating interactive workshops—both virtually and in person—where you will guide agents through essential product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer engagement strategies. By conducting hands-on coaching sessions and accompanying agents in the field, you will help bridge theory with practice while building trustful relationships. You will also monitor each agent’s journey closely, identifying those who may need extra encouragement or intervention programmes to stay motivated. Working hand-in-hand with sales leaders ensures alignment on goals and consistency in coaching standards. Your ability to gather feedback from the field allows you to adapt training materials quickly so they remain relevant and effective. Success in this role means seeing agents grow in confidence, capability, and results—all thanks to your dedication and expertise.

  • Deliver engaging weekly training sessions for agency members during their first year, utilising both online platforms and face-to-face interactions to maximise learning outcomes.
  • Conduct regular coaching sessions, facilitate interactive role-play activities, and provide field accompaniment to support agents’ practical development.
  • Monitor individual agent progress closely by assessing mindset, sales readiness, and overall engagement to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Implement targeted intervention programmes for agents identified as being at risk of inactivity or underperformance, offering tailored support to re-engage them.
  • Collaborate closely with sales leaders to review cases and calibrate coaching approaches for consistent standards across the team.
  • Act as the primary feedback channel from the field, providing valuable insights to dynamically adjust training content based on real-time needs.
  • Maintain detailed records of training attendance, agent progress, and programme effectiveness to inform future improvements.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience within an insurance agency setting, ideally focused on training or agent development functions.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver both online and face-to-face training sessions that engage diverse audiences effectively over extended periods.
  • Experience conducting coaching conversations, facilitating role-plays, and providing practical field support to drive agent performance.
  • Proven track record of monitoring individual progress using data-driven methods to identify areas for improvement or intervention.
  • Strong collaboration skills with experience working alongside sales leaders or management teams to align on objectives and share best practices.
  • Excellent communication abilities that foster open dialogue with trainees while providing constructive feedback in a supportive manner.
  • Familiarity with adult learning principles and instructional design techniques that promote inclusivity and knowledge retention among participants.
  • A recognised training certification is highly desirable as it demonstrates commitment to professional development within the industry.
  • Adaptability when responding to changing needs from the field by updating training content promptly based on feedback received.
