As a Financial Institution Banker based in Jakarta, you will be entrusted with managing a dynamic portfolio of Financial Institution Sales clients—particularly those operating in the rapidly evolving PayTech sector. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve developing bespoke transaction banking strategies that address complex client needs while fostering collaborative relationships across internal teams. - Develop and execute strategies for selling comprehensive Transaction Banking solutions across all products to a diverse portfolio of Financial Institution Sales clients, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
- Work closely with coverage teams to agree upon and deliver revenue and activity targets for the assigned client portfolio through effective account planning and regular engagement.
- Manage relationships with PayTech clients as part of the broader Financial Institution segment, implementing tailored solutions that foster revenue growth and long-term partnerships.
- Maintain ongoing contact with clients to ensure optimal returns on Trade Finance activities while proactively identifying new business opportunities within the portfolio.
- Facilitate the transfer of best practices between markets to maximise Transaction Banking capabilities and enhance client offerings across regions.
- Monitor revenue streams and sales performance for Cash and Trade products from Financial Institution clients, ensuring financial objectives are consistently met or exceeded.
- Oversee utilisation levels by analysing transaction histories and implementing strategies to increase product adoption among clients.
- Lead deal processes for specific client bases by collaborating with sales, product management, and operations teams to deliver optimal solutions and ensure seamless implementation with high service quality standards.
- Provide valuable feedback to Product Management regarding customer needs, emerging trends, and market intelligence to inform new product developments or enhancements.
- Conduct regular pricing reviews at the product level, manage waivers or non-standard pricing requests, and implement appropriate local pricing strategies.
Requirements:
- A university degree or postgraduate qualification is required; advanced academic credentials are highly regarded for this position.
- At least 6-10 years of relevant experience in Transaction Banking sales within an international or regional context is essential for success in this role.
- Demonstrated expertise in handling cross-border payments for Financial Institution Correspondent Banking as well as PayTech companies is highly desirable.
- A background in Cash corporate sales is preferred; experience working with technology sector clients or possessing technical knowledge of payment OBO (on behalf of), cash management solutions, cross-border clearing processes is considered advantageous.
- Familiarity with crypto assets or stablecoin environments will be viewed favourably but is not mandatory.
- Comprehensive understanding of payment infrastructure and emerging trends within the payment space—especially relating to cross-border transactions—is required.
- Exceptional communication skills combined with proven influencing abilities are necessary for effective collaboration with multicultural stakeholders across borders.
- A track record of working successfully within collaborative team environments where inter-personal skills are valued is important for this position.
- Strong analytical abilities coupled with problem-solving skills are needed to navigate complex client requirements and market dynamics effectively.
