Save job

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Accountant to join a reputable organisation in Bogor, where your expertise will be valued and your professional growth supported. This role offers you the chance to work within a knowledgeable and dependable finance team that is committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment. You will play a pivotal part in ensuring financial accuracy and compliance, while also having the opportunity to contribute to process improvements.

What you'll do:

As a Senior Accountant based in Bogor, you will become an integral member of the finance department, entrusted with managing the full spectrum of accounting functions. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve preparing precise financial reports that adhere to both local standards and internal guidelines. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate records through diligent reconciliations and journal entries while also taking charge of fixed asset management. In addition to these core duties, you will collaborate closely with external auditors and tax consultants during critical periods such as year-end audits. Your role will extend into supporting treasury operations by monitoring cash flow and assisting with various financial planning activities alongside the Finance Manager for Southeast Asia. By ensuring strict adherence to internal controls and continuously seeking ways to enhance existing processes, you will contribute significantly to the overall efficiency and reliability of the finance function. This position offers you the chance to make meaningful contributions not only through technical expertise but also by sharing insights that drive process improvements across the team.

  • Manage the full set of accounts by overseeing general ledger activities, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and ensuring timely month-end close processes are completed accurately.
  • Prepare monthly and annual financial reports with precision, ensuring all documentation complies with local accounting standards as well as internal policies.
  • Perform detailed bank reconciliations, create accurate journal entries, and maintain comprehensive balance sheet schedules to support financial integrity.
  • Oversee fixed asset accounting by managing depreciation schedules and ensuring all records are up-to-date and compliant with relevant regulations.
  • Coordinate effectively with auditors and tax consultants to facilitate smooth year-end audits and ensure timely tax submissions without discrepancies.
  • Monitor cash flow on a daily basis while supporting treasury activities to maintain optimal liquidity for business operations.
  • Assist the Finance Manager for Southeast Asia by contributing to budgeting exercises, forecasting future trends, conducting variance analysis, and participating in ad hoc projects as required.
  • Ensure robust internal controls are maintained throughout all accounting processes while proactively identifying areas for continuous improvement.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Senior Accountant position brings proven experience from similar roles where meticulous record-keeping, regulatory compliance, and effective communication were paramount. Your background includes significant exposure to managing end-to-end accounting processes within diverse organisational structures—preferably multinational corporations—where adaptability was key. You possess not only technical proficiency with industry-standard software but also demonstrate strong interpersonal skills that foster positive relationships both internally among colleagues and externally with auditors or consultants. Your approach is marked by empathy towards team members’ needs as well as sensitivity when handling confidential information. A commitment to continuous learning ensures that you remain current on evolving standards while actively contributing ideas for operational enhancements. Your ability to collaborate seamlessly within cross-functional teams reflects your dedication towards shared goals; meanwhile your attention to detail underpins every aspect of your work—from routine reconciliations through complex reporting cycles—ensuring reliable outcomes that support broader business objectives.

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is essential; holding CPA, ACCA or equivalent qualifications would be highly regarded.
  • You bring 4–6 years of hands-on experience in accounting roles where you have managed the full set of accounts within corporate environments.
  • Your understanding of IFRS standards and local tax regulations is thorough, enabling you to ensure compliance at every stage of reporting.
  • Proficiency in using leading accounting software such as SAP, Oracle, Xero or QuickBooks is expected along with advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis.
  • You demonstrate dependability by consistently meeting deadlines while effectively prioritising multiple tasks independently within agreed timeframes.
  • Your analytical abilities allow you to interpret complex financial data accurately while communicating findings clearly across teams.
  • High attention to detail ensures accuracy in all aspects of your work from reconciliations through reporting cycles.
  • Experience working within multinational organisations or fast-paced corporate settings equips you with valuable perspectives on best practices.
  • Prior involvement in ERP system implementation or participation in process improvement projects would be advantageous.
