What you'll do:
As a Senior Accountant, you will be entrusted with key responsibilities that are central to the organisation’s financial health. Your day-to-day activities will involve preparing intricate general ledger entries during month-end close cycles, analysing intercompany transactions for accuracy, controlling AP/GRIR processes, and collaborating with both internal teams and external auditors. You will also play an important role in maintaining robust documentation practices while leveraging leading accounting software platforms like SAP or Microsoft D365. Success in this position requires not only technical proficiency but also excellent communication skills as you interact with staff across multiple departments. Your ability to remain calm under pressure, meet deadlines consistently, and proactively identify areas for improvement will set you apart as an invaluable member of the finance team.
- Prepare comprehensive general ledger entries during the month-end close process, including lease transactions and other complex accounting adjustments to ensure accurate financial statements.
- Analyse intercompany transactions as well as clearing and suspense accounts on a monthly basis to guarantee proper recording and timely elimination of balances.
- Act as the main controller for Accounts Payable (AP) and Goods Received/Invoice Received (GRIR), ensuring all transactions are processed efficiently and accurately.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams such as financial reporting, regulatory reporting, internal auditors, and external auditors to facilitate smooth audits and compliance checks.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of accounting procedures and policies while ensuring adherence to local regulations and international standards.
- Utilise advanced accounting software such as SAP or Microsoft D365 to manage financial data entry, reconciliation, and reporting tasks effectively.
- Support the preparation of statutory reports by providing detailed analysis and reconciliations as required by management or regulatory authorities.
- Assist in identifying process improvements within the finance function to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and transparency across all accounting operations.
- Communicate clearly with colleagues at all levels to resolve queries related to financial transactions or reporting requirements in a timely manner.
What you bring:
To excel as a Senior Accountant in this organisation, you will bring proven experience from similar roles within the accounting or finance sector—ideally within multinational companies where international exposure has honed your adaptability. Your educational background should include at least a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; additional certifications such as CA or CPA are highly desirable. You have developed strong technical abilities using industry-standard software like SAP or Microsoft D365, enabling you to handle complex reconciliations efficiently. A keen eye for detail ensures accuracy in every aspect of your work—from preparing ledger entries to supporting audits—while your commitment to meeting deadlines demonstrates reliability. Above all, your collaborative spirit fosters positive relationships within the team environment.
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is essential; holding CA/CPA certification would be highly regarded.
- At least 4-5 years of relevant experience in accounting roles is required; prior experience as an auditor for 1-2 years would be advantageous.

- Proficiency in English is necessary along with effective communication skills that enable you to interact confidently with staff at all organisational levels.
- Advanced user skills in accounting software such as SAP or Microsoft D365 are expected for efficient handling of daily tasks.
- A motivated approach combined with self-direction ensures you take ownership of assigned responsibilities while delivering results within tight deadlines.
