What you'll do:
As a Country Finance Business Partner based in Jakarta, you will play an essential role in supporting the management team with robust decision support at both operational and strategic levels. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve partnering with senior leaders to shape organisational strategy while optimising resource allocation for maximum value creation. You will lead the development of comprehensive financial plans that align with market priorities as well as broader area expectations. By proactively analysing financial trends alongside commercial data points, you will identify risks or opportunities that require action to deliver on commitments. Your ability to build deep market knowledge will enable you to provide meaningful insights into commercial performance while influencing key business decisions through rigorous evaluation of investments or initiatives. Collaboration is central to this role; you will work closely with Area Finance teams as well as cross-functional stakeholders to ensure accuracy in reporting and planning. Continuous improvement is encouraged—simplifying processes through standardisation or automation—and upholding strong governance ensures stewardship of resources remains paramount. Success in this position requires fostering accountability across teams while translating complex concepts into actionable recommendations that drive high-performance culture.
* Serve as a dependable member of the Country Leadership Team by providing financial leadership, challenge, and insight that supports strategic decisions and drives business performance.
* Partner closely with business leaders to shape organisational strategy, optimise resource allocation, manage portfolio investments, and identify opportunities for maximising sustainable growth and value creation.
* Lead the development of comprehensive financial plans including Mid-Term Plan (MTP), Budget, Rolling Business Updates (RBU), forecasts, and scenarios while ensuring alignment with market priorities and broader area expectations.
* Drive business performance by proactively analysing financial and commercial trends, identifying risks and opportunities, and recommending actions required to deliver commitments.
* Build a deep understanding of the market dynamics, portfolio offerings, healthcare environment, and competitive landscape to provide meaningful commercial and financial insights.
* Influence key business decisions through rigorous evaluation of investments, initiatives, business cases, and trade-offs across various functions within the organisation.
* Act as both a strategic partner and analytical expert by seamlessly moving between enterprise-level discussions and detailed analysis to uncover root causes, challenge assumptions constructively, and improve outcomes.
* Collaborate closely with Area Finance teams, Global Financial Services (GFS), and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting, planning, and execution.
* Simplify planning, reporting, and decision-support processes by driving standardisation, automation initiatives, and sharing best practices across teams.
* Uphold strong financial governance by maintaining robust controls, compliance standards, stewardship of company resources, and promoting accountability throughout the organisation.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Country Finance Business Partner position brings extensive experience gained from over ten years in finance roles within commercial organisations—at least five years spent managing teams or projects similar in scope. Your academic background includes a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited institution (preferably specialising in Finance or Accounting), equipping you with essential technical knowledge. You have demonstrated skill in analysing complex issues related to controllership areas while maintaining compliance standards. Experience collaborating with senior management within matrix environments has enabled you to build strong relationships across diverse stakeholder groups. Throughout your leadership journey you have shown continuous personal growth alongside learning agility—a testament to your commitment towards professional development.
