As a Commercial Finance Planning Manager based in Jakarta, you will play an integral part in shaping the future direction of the business through your expert analysis and strategic insight. Your day-to-day activities will involve building strong partnerships with various internal stakeholders—ranging from Sales Development to Revenue Growth Management—to ensure that every aspect of commercial planning is underpinned by sound financial logic. You will be responsible for evaluating go-to-market models for different channels such as Traditional Trade while providing detailed market trend analyses that keep the company ahead of competitors. By leading budgeting efforts for sales investments and monitoring trade spending closely, you will help optimise resources for maximum impact. - Develop comprehensive business cases and provide thoughtful strategic recommendations on revenue management initiatives aimed at optimising topline growth and overall profitability.
- Collaborate closely with Route-to-Market (RTM) and Sales Development teams to explore, evaluate, and implement effective go-to-market models with a particular focus on Traditional Trade channels.
- Conduct thorough analyses of market trends, competitor pricing strategies, and customer behaviours to inform commercial planning decisions and maintain competitive advantage.
- Deliver actionable insights on portfolio mix optimisation, channel profitability assessments, investment corridors evaluation, pricing strategy formulation, promotional planning effectiveness, trade terms structuring, and total trade cost management.
- Lead the budgeting process for sales and trade investments while ensuring all forecasts are aligned with broader commercial objectives as well as corporate goals.
- Monitor trade spending patterns along with fixed and variable commercial selling costs; proactively drive resource optimisation initiatives to enhance return on investment.
- Work collaboratively with Sales, Trade Marketing, Revenue Growth Management, Supply Chain Finance, and Shared Services teams to ensure seamless integration of financial planning processes across departments.
- Support the implementation of new financial tools or systems that improve data accuracy, reporting efficiency, and decision-making capabilities within the commercial finance function.
- Prepare regular reports for senior management summarising key findings from financial analyses along with clear recommendations for action.
- Champion best practices in financial governance by maintaining high standards of compliance throughout all aspects of commercial finance operations.

- A minimum of five years’ experience working within Commercial Finance, Net Revenue Management or Pricing/Revenue Growth Management roles specifically within an FMCG environment—ideally food & beverage sector.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline is essential; candidates holding a Master’s degree or professional qualifications such as CIMA, CPA, CMA or ACCA will be highly regarded.
- Demonstrated proficiency using SAP alongside other ERP systems to manage complex financial data sets efficiently.
- Proven track record partnering effectively with commercial teams including Sales, Trade Marketing and Route-to-Market functions on joint projects or initiatives.
- Exceptional analytical abilities enabling you to connect insights from multiple data sources while maintaining a holistic view of business performance drivers.
- In-depth understanding of trade terms negotiation processes, price architecture design principles, investment ROI calculations as well as route-to-market strategy development.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills complemented by strong communication abilities which allow you to influence outcomes positively across both functional boundaries and geographic regions.
