What you'll do:

As a Senior Tax Accountant based in Jakarta, you will play a pivotal role in guiding the Finance team through complex taxation requirements. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve preparing accurate tax returns across multiple categories while reviewing workpapers for compliance. You will oversee registers such as FBT motor vehicles, process year-end journals, and review audit files. Acting as an internal expert means you will be relied upon for specialist advice—helping senior managers meet targets while mitigating risks. Identifying opportunities for process improvement will allow you to contribute positively to operational excellence.   • Provide taxation training to the wider Finance team, ensuring all members are well-informed and confident in their understanding of relevant regulations.
  • Prepare and file Income Tax, FBT, GST, Branch Tax, and other returns accurately and on time, maintaining compliance with local laws.
  • Review and analyse monthly taxation workpapers with meticulous attention to detail, identifying areas for improvement or clarification.
  • Oversee the FBT motor vehicle register, ensuring records are maintained to the highest standard of accuracy and transparency.
  • Calculate and process year-end taxation journals; review the tax section of the audit file to ensure completeness and correctness.
  • Act as an internal expert by offering specialist knowledge and advice on complex tax matters whenever required by colleagues or management.
  • Support senior managers in Finance by helping them achieve performance targets and mitigate risk through dependable guidance.
  • Deliver operational excellence in complex Finance matters that align with overall business strategy, contributing positively to organisational objectives.
  • Build trust and networks internally within the company as well as externally with clients and professional bodies through effective communication.
