Finance Control Lead (Contract)

A leading organisation in Jakarta is seeking an Finance Control Lead to join their dedicated finance team. You will play a key part in ensuring financial integrity through general ledger management, reconciliation, and audit processes, while also supporting tax audits.

What you'll do:

• • Prepare and review comprehensive tax reconciliation workpapers for fiscal years 2022 through 2025, ensuring all documentation is complete and audit-ready.
  • Analyse complex accounting transactions with precision, mapping general ledger accounts accurately to meet tax reporting and compliance obligations.
  • Perform detailed reconciliations for VAT, Corporate Income Tax, Withholding Tax Article 21, Withholding Tax Unification, Withholding Tax Article 26, and Final Tax to ensure full regulatory adherence.
  • Review input VAT records, fixed asset tax depreciation schedules, project cost allocations, and general administrative expense schedules for accuracy and completeness.
  • Support responses to SP2DK requests as well as tax audits and enquiries from tax authorities by preparing thorough analyses and clear supporting documentation.
  • Investigate any differences identified during reconciliations by conducting root cause analyses and preparing detailed reports for management review.
  • Maintain meticulous working papers and documentation that are always ready for internal or external audit scrutiny.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of accounting data into tax compliance processes.
  • Provide guidance on best practices for maintaining accurate financial records in line with evolving Indonesian tax regulations.

What you bring:

• • A degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation or a related discipline provides you with the foundational knowledge required for this role.
  • At least seven years’ experience in taxation, tax audit, tax compliance or financial control roles ensures you bring proven expertise to the team.
  • A deep understanding of Indonesian Corporate Income Tax, VAT, Withholding Taxes (Articles 21 & 26), Final Tax regulations is essential for success.
  • Demonstrated experience handling tax audits, SP2DK reviews, responding to tax authority enquiries, and managing complex reconciliations is highly valued.
  • Proficiency in general ledger analysis as well as accounting-to-tax mapping enables you to navigate intricate financial systems confidently.
  • Advanced Excel skills combined with strong analytical abilities allow you to manage large datasets efficiently while identifying trends or anomalies.
  • Exceptional attention to detail paired with effective problem-solving capabilities ensures accuracy across all deliverables.
  • Preferred: CPA, Chartered Accountant status, Brevet B certification or equivalent qualifications further strengthen your candidacy.
  • Preferred: Experience using Oracle or similar ERP systems enhances your ability to integrate seamlessly into existing workflows.
  • Preferred: Previous exposure to multinational or professional services environments equips you with valuable perspectives on global best practices.
