What you'll do:

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reports to ensure comprehensive financial oversight.
  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all financial reports by implementing robust processes and checks across the finance function.
  • Analyse financial performance, variances, and trends to provide actionable insights that support business planning and strategic decision-making.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and business planning processes by collaborating closely with other departments to align financial objectives with organisational goals.
  • Manage cash flow planning, monitoring, and forecasting to maintain optimal liquidity levels for ongoing operations.
  • Oversee accounts receivable, credit control, and collections activities to ensure effective management of incoming funds.
  • Manage accounts payable and supplier payments with attention to detail to maintain strong relationships with vendors.
  • Optimise working capital including inventory financing by identifying areas for improvement in resource allocation.
  • Support pricing strategies, discounts, margin analysis, and trade schemes by providing detailed financial analysis for sales initiatives.
  • Monitor sales performance and profitability by channel to inform expansion initiatives and distributor programmes.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations by maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws.
  • Oversee general ledger management, fixed assets tracking, and inventory accounting for accurate record-keeping.
  • Coordinate audits with external parties and ensure closure of audit findings through diligent follow-up.
  • Establish and maintain strong internal controls across all finance operations to safeguard company assets.
  • Lead and develop the Finance & Accounting team by conducting performance reviews, coaching sessions, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics is required for this position as it forms the foundation of your technical expertise.
  • Professional certification such as CPA/CA/ACCA is highly preferred as it demonstrates advanced knowledge in finance practices.
  • 5–8 years’ experience in finance roles ideally within sales distribution or FMCG sectors provides valuable industry insight.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards and taxation ensures compliance with regulatory requirements at all times.
  • Analytical skills are essential for interpreting complex data sets related to financial performance metrics.
  • Understanding of distribution business models enables effective support for sales initiatives within the organisation.
  • Leadership abilities are vital for developing team members through coaching sessions and performance reviews.
  • Excellent communication skills facilitate collaboration across departments when supporting budgeting or expansion projects.
  • High attention to detail guarantees accuracy in reporting as well as integrity throughout all finance operations.
