Our client is seeking a knowledgeable and dependable Regional Tax Manager to join their team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead tax operations in a multinational environment, with a focus on corporate income tax, withholding tax, and value added tax. The candidate will be responsible for preparing annual CIT calculations and reviewing monthly VAT & WHT reconciliations. They will also play a key role in managing tax disputes and ensuring compliance withtax laws.
What you'll do:
As a Regional Tax Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's taxation strategy. Your expertise in corporate income tax, withholding tax, and value added tax will be crucial in ensuring compliance with prevailing laws and minimising potential tax exposure. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to digitalisation projects, further enhancing your skills and experience.
- Prepare annual CIT calculation and submission
- Forecast income taxes, analyse tax provisions and review monthly VAT & WHT reconciliations
- Lead the tax dispute process, prepare argumentation and/or supporting needed to tax authority
- Discuss, explain and answer tax related queries from both internal and external parties
- Monitor and analyse the impact of changes in taxation regulation and provide recommendation to address the changes
- Develop transfer pricing policies, reviews and tracks compliance
- Conduct training to internal stakeholders when necessary
- Participate in digitalisation projects

The ideal candidate for this Regional Tax Manager position brings a wealth of experience in taxation, particularly within the mining/oil&gas/petrochemical industry. Your advanced knowledge of taxation regulations coupled with your strong business acumen will enable you to effectively manage complex taxation issues. Your excellent communication skills will be essential as you liaise with both internal and external parties on all matters related to taxation.
- Bachelor Degree majoring Taxation/Accounting
- Minimum 15 years of experience in taxation with tax consultant experience preferred
- Experience in mining/oil&gas/petrochemical industry
- Experience in multinational company with exposure to handling tax for different countries
- Experience in handling customs for importation
- Must have brevet A & B certificate, USKP is preferred
- Advanced knowledge of taxation (corporate income tax, withholding tax & value added tax) regulation and in tax application
- Fluent English communication skill (verbal and written)
- Strong business sense, strategic thinking and data analysis ability
