What you'll do:

As Chief Financial Officer in Jakarta you will play an integral role in shaping the organisation’s financial direction. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve collaborating closely with senior management to develop robust corporate finance strategies that underpin business growth. You will oversee all aspects of financial planning—from capital allocation to cash flow management—ensuring resources are optimally deployed. Fundraising will be central to your remit; you’ll identify suitable sources of capital from diverse partners such as banks or institutional investors while structuring deals that support expansion. Acting as a bridge between shareholders and the Board of Directors, you’ll deliver clear updates on performance and strategic initiatives. Your expertise in evaluating investments will be crucial when assessing new opportunities or supporting major transactions like acquisitions or divestments. Success in this role requires not only technical proficiency but also exceptional interpersonal skills for managing relationships across multiple stakeholders.

  • Develop and implement the organisation's overall corporate finance strategy in alignment with long-term business goals and investment plans.
  • Lead financial planning processes including capital allocation, cash flow management, budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial strategy.
  • Evaluate funding requirements for business expansion and create appropriate financing structures to support investment activities.
  • Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to the Board of Directors and shareholders to guide key business decisions.
  • Oversee fundraising activities such as debt and equity financing by identifying potential sources of funding from financial institutions, strategic investors, development finance institutions, and other partners.
  • Structure and negotiate financing facilities, investment arrangements, and other corporate finance transactions to ensure favourable terms for the organisation.
  • Manage relationships with banks, lenders, investors, advisors, and other external stakeholders to maintain an optimal capital structure and sufficient liquidity.
  • Act as a key financial representative for major shareholders by preparing and presenting financial updates, investment proposals, business plans, and funding requirements.
  • Evaluate new investment opportunities by leading financial due diligence processes including modelling, valuation, risk assessment, and investment analysis.
  • Support senior management in evaluating strategic partnerships, acquisitions, divestments, or other corporate transactions from a financial perspective.

What you bring:

To excel as Chief Financial Officer you must bring substantial experience in corporate finance gained from roles involving fundraising activities like debt or equity financing. Your academic credentials should include at least a bachelor’s degree in Finance or related fields; advanced qualifications such as an MBA are highly valued. You’ll have proven success structuring complex deals with banks or institutional investors while maintaining strong relationships across multiple shareholder groups. Your analytical prowess will be evident through sophisticated modelling techniques used for evaluating investments or guiding business planning processes. Communication is key—you’ll need polished presentation skills for engaging Boards or negotiating with external partners. Leadership comes naturally; you’ve previously managed teams within finance functions ensuring they possess commercial insight alongside governance capabilities. Operating at Board level requires tactful stakeholder management so your ability to balance competing interests is essential.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business; MBA or relevant professional qualification is highly advantageous.
  • Extensive experience in corporate finance including fundraising activities such as debt/equity financing or treasury operations within complex organisations.
  • Proven track record in raising funds through structured financing transactions involving banks or institutional investors.
  • Strong background in investor relations with demonstrated ability to manage multiple shareholder interests effectively.
  • Advanced skills in financial modelling, valuation techniques, business planning methodologies and analytical problem-solving.
  • Experience managing complex financing or investment transactions is highly desirable for this position.
  • Commercial acumen enabling translation of detailed financial analysis into actionable strategic recommendations for senior leadership teams.
  • Excellent communication skills including negotiation abilities required for presenting proposals at Board level or engaging external stakeholders.
  • Leadership capabilities demonstrated through previous roles managing finance teams or developing high-performing organisational structures.
  • Ability to operate effectively at Board level while balancing interests among various stakeholders such as shareholders or external partners.
