Head of Country Finance

Role Overview: Head of Finance (FP&A, Business Partnering & Commercial Finance) – Indonesia We’re looking for a senior finance leader to take ownership of financial planning, performance management, and strategic decision support across Indonesia. This role sits at the heart of the business, combining FP&A, commercial finance, and stakeholder leadership.

Skills and qualities needed for the role as Head of Finance

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
Lead end-to-end financial planning cycles including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning across multiple business units. Deliver clear, data-driven insights through management reporting, variance analysis, and forward-looking projections.

You’ll build and refine financial models to support strategic decisions—covering scenario planning, investment cases, and profitability analysis. A key focus will be on product costing, new launch forecasting, and evaluating performance against business cases.

Business Partnering & Stakeholder Management
Act as a true finance business partner to commercial and operational teams. Influence decision-making by aligning financial targets with business priorities and providing actionable recommendations.

Support key initiatives through structured financial input, including investment reviews and project evaluations. Define and track both financial and operational KPIs to drive performance and accountability.

Process Improvement & Transformation
Continuously identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting accuracy, and efficiency. Lead initiatives that streamline workflows and enhance decision-making across functions.

Bring a proactive, solution-oriented mindset to solve complex business challenges and elevate the overall finance function.

Team Leadership & Development
Manage and develop a Finance Business Partner, setting clear objectives and driving performance through regular coaching and feedback.

Tax management

You have strong tax knowledge and can lead tax planning, audit and VAT

Build a high-performing finance culture by strengthening both technical expertise and commercial acumen within the team.

Candidate Profile: Skills, Experience & Capabilities

We’re looking for a commercially minded finance leader with strong analytical depth and the ability to operate in a complex, fast-moving environment.

Experience & Background

• 10–12+ years of progressive experience in Finance, FP&A, or Commercial Finance within large, multinational organisations
• Proven track record in regional or multi-country environments (Asia Pacific exposure is a strong advantage)
• Prior experience in a senior finance role combining financial control, reporting, and business partnering

Education

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field (MBA or professional qualification such as CPA/ACCA is a plus)

Core Skills

• Strong financial modelling, forecasting, and performance analysis capabilities
• Confident communicator with the ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders
• Solid understanding of financial controls, governance, and reporting frameworks
• Experience supporting new product launches, including investment cases and phase-gate reviews

Tools & Systems

• Advanced Excel skills with hands-on experience in data visualisation and reporting tools such as Power BI and/or Tableau
• Proficient in PowerPoint for executive-level presentations
