Corporate Finance Director
An established business group in Indonesia seeks a Corporate Finance Director, reporting to the CFO, to lead debt fundraising for working capital, capital expenditure and growth. You will bring experience within Indonesian conglomerates, strong relationships with local and international banks, and a proven track record of closing debt transactions
What you'll do:
As Corporate Finance Director, you will play a central role in shaping the financial landscape of an established Indonesian business group. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve developing robust debt financing strategies tailored to the organisation’s needs. You will lead complex transactions from initial lender engagement through negotiation and final execution. By securing various forms of loans from local and international banks, you will ensure that the company has access to necessary funds for growth initiatives. Building strong relationships with banking partners is essential; you’ll present persuasive proposals backed by thorough financial analysis. Working closely with the CFO, you’ll evaluate funding requirements across subsidiaries and recommend optimal structures while coordinating activities that respect existing covenants. Your oversight of financial modelling ensures accurate forecasting for all financing proposals. Success in this role requires meticulous attention to detail when monitoring repayment obligations and risks—your regular reporting keeps leadership informed of progress.
* Develop comprehensive debt financing strategies that align with the group’s financial objectives and evolving business requirements.
* Lead end-to-end execution of financing transactions, including lender engagement, structuring deals, negotiating terms, obtaining credit approval, overseeing documentation, and managing drawdown processes.
* Secure bilateral and syndicated loans as well as working capital facilities from both local and international banks active in Indonesia.
* Negotiate key aspects of financing agreements such as pricing, tenor, covenants, collateral arrangements, and guarantees to optimise funding costs.
* Identify refinancing opportunities to improve debt maturity profiles and reduce overall funding expenses for the group.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with senior banking stakeholders to expand the lender network and diversify available funding sources.
* Present detailed financing proposals, business plans, and financial information to lenders while managing due diligence processes and responding to credit queries.
* Partner with the CFO to assess funding requirements across Indonesian entities and recommend appropriate financing structures based on borrowing capacity and security arrangements.
* Coordinate financing activities across multiple subsidiaries while considering existing covenants, guarantees, and lender restrictions.
* Oversee financial models, cash flow forecasts, and materials supporting financing proposals; monitor debt covenants, repayment obligations, and financing risks; report progress regularly to the CFO.
What you bring:
Your proven experience as a Corporate Finance Director will be instrumental in driving successful outcomes for this established Indonesian business group. You bring deep knowledge of corporate finance principles along with hands-on expertise in executing large-scale debt transactions. You have demonstrated skill in structuring loans that meet complex requirements while maintaining compliance across multiple entities. Your proficiency in financial modelling supports accurate forecasting for all proposals presented to lenders. Effective communication—in both Bahasa Indonesia and English—ensures clarity during negotiations as well as when coordinating responses during due diligence processes. Experience gained within Indonesian conglomerates gives you valuable insight into local market dynamics. Preferred qualifications such as syndicated lending or cross-border borrowing further enhance your suitability for this role.
* Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related discipline is required for this role.
* Substantial experience in corporate finance or treasury functions with direct responsibility for debt fundraising is essential.

* Proven track record of personally leading and closing debt financing transactions of at least USD 20 million demonstrates your capability.

* Hands-on experience in loan structuring, negotiations, documentation preparation, and execution through drawdown is expected.
* Strong understanding of financial modelling techniques as well as credit assessment processes is important.
* Ability to manage complex financing requirements across multiple entities while collaborating effectively with senior stakeholders sets you apart.
* Excellent negotiation skills coupled with clear communication abilities in both Bahasa Indonesia and English are mandatory.
