This position offers the opportunity to work closely with senior management, external advisors, and investors, supporting mergers and acquisitions, investment analysis, and corporate finance activities.

The successful candidate will be instrumental in evaluating investment opportunities, executing complex transactions, and providing insightful financial guidance that shapes the future of the business. With full office-based working in Jakarta, you will enjoy a supportive environment where your expertise is valued and your professional development is encouraged. If you are passionate about making a meaningful impact within the mining sector and thrive in a collaborative setting, this is an exceptional opportunity to advance your career.

  • You will be at the heart of strategic decision-making, collaborating with internal stakeholders and external partners to deliver high-impact financial solutions for business expansion.
  • Your role will involve leading M&A transactions from target screening through post-deal integration, ensuring seamless execution and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Enjoy a workplace that values knowledge sharing, offers training opportunities for continued growth, and supports flexible working arrangements tailored to your needs.

What you'll do:

As a Corporate Finance Manager based in Jakarta’s vibrant mining sector, you will immerse yourself in a variety of challenging yet rewarding tasks that drive the company’s strategic ambitions. Your day-to-day responsibilities will centre on leading complex mergers and acquisitions transactions from inception through integration while maintaining rigorous compliance standards. You will collaborate extensively with both internal colleagues and external partners—banks, advisors, investors—to ensure every deal is thoroughly evaluated through robust financial modelling and due diligence. By developing business cases that inform management decisions and preparing materials for senior leadership discussions, you will directly influence the direction of the company’s growth initiatives. Your expertise in valuation methodologies will be crucial when reviewing investment opportunities or structuring deals. Additionally, you’ll support fundraising activities by analysing capital structures and preparing financing proposals. Success in this role requires not only technical proficiency but also strong interpersonal skills to foster effective communication across diverse stakeholder groups. You’ll find yourself at the intersection of finance strategy and operational excellence—making a tangible impact on both daily operations and long-term vision.

  • Lead and support mergers and acquisitions transactions by managing target screening, deal evaluation, due diligence processes, transaction execution, and post-deal integration activities.
  • Perform comprehensive financial modelling, valuation analyses, and investment assessments for acquisitions, divestments, joint ventures, and other strategic projects within the mining sector.
  • Conduct and coordinate commercial, financial, and operational due diligence for potential investments or partnerships to ensure robust risk assessment and informed decision-making.
  • Prepare and review detailed valuation models using methodologies such as discounted cash flow (DCF), comparable companies analysis, precedent transactions analysis, and other industry-standard approaches.
  • Support fundraising efforts by preparing project financing proposals and conducting capital structure analyses to optimise funding strategies for business growth.
  • Develop compelling business cases and strategic financial analyses that empower management with actionable insights for key decisions related to expansion or portfolio optimisation.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams as well as external advisors, banks, investors, and other stakeholders throughout all phases of transaction processes.
  • Contribute to long-term corporate strategy development by participating in portfolio reviews and identifying new growth initiatives within the mining industry.
  • Prepare clear presentations, investment papers, and materials for senior management meetings or shareholder communications to facilitate transparent information sharing.
  • Ensure strict compliance with governance standards, regulatory frameworks, and internal approval requirements during all transaction-related activities.

What you bring:

To excel as a Corporate Finance Manager within this prominent mining organisation in Jakarta you must bring extensive experience spanning finance operations—particularly those involving corporate finance strategies such as investments or M&A. Your academic background should include at minimum a bachelor’s degree complemented ideally by advanced qualifications like CPA or CFA which signal your commitment to professional excellence. Having worked within Big 4 advisory environments equips you with invaluable insight into industry-leading practices around transaction services or valuations. Your hands-on expertise managing end-to-end M&A processes—from initial screening through integration—is critical; so too are your skills in constructing sophisticated financial models using DCFs or comparables. Sector-specific experience within mining or similar capital-intensive fields ensures you understand unique operational risks while advanced analytical abilities allow you to forecast outcomes accurately. Fluency in English enables seamless communication across global teams while strong stakeholder engagement skills foster harmonious collaboration internally as well as externally. Your ability to craft compelling presentations for senior leaders further demonstrates your capacity for clear information sharing—a trait highly valued here. Finally your willingness to work full-time from the Jakarta office underscores your dependability as part of this cohesive team.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline is required; holding a Master’s degree or professional qualification such as CPA, CFA or ACA is highly advantageous.
  • At least fifteen years of experience across finance and accounting functions with significant exposure to corporate finance activities including investments and mergers & acquisitions.
  • Big 4 advisory experience is essential—ideally within Transaction Services, Deals Advisory, Corporate Finance or Valuation practices—demonstrating deep familiarity with best-in-class methodologies.
  • Proven track record in managing M&A transactions including valuation modelling techniques (DCF/comparables/precedents) as well as thorough due diligence processes.
  • Experience working within mining, natural resources or other capital-intensive industries is strongly preferred given the sector-specific challenges encountered.
  • Advanced capabilities in financial modelling coupled with analytical acumen that enables accurate forecasting and scenario planning for complex projects.
  • Fluency in English both written and verbal is necessary to communicate effectively with international stakeholders including senior leadership teams.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills allowing you to build trustful relationships across departments as well as externally with advisors or investors.
