Head of Business Control

For an FMCG company we are looking for a Head of Business Controller for Operations/Supply Chain Finance. The position requires a candidate with strong expertise in supply chain finance, commercial finance, and FP&A, capable of managing end-to-end productivity across P&L lines, driving innovation, and making strategic investment decisions.

As head of Business Control you will be leading a team of six and directly reporting to the hiring manager, with potential succession into a higher position within 3-5 years.

Competencies, Personality and Skills for the Head of business control

• Core Competencies: Strong foundation in supply chain finance is essential; experience in commercial finance and FP&A is highly preferred.
• Skills Required: Ability to manage detailed costing processes while summarizing key messages for senior stakeholders. Must balance technical detail with strategic communication.
• Personality Traits: Strong leadership qualities, ability to provide efficient direction to the team, concise communication skills, and respect from subordinates.

Management and Leadership:

• The successful candidate will lead a team of six members with varying levels of experience (5–13 years).
• Must provide detailed guidance to the team while maintaining efficient operations.
• Expected to manage local senior stakeholders and potentially global stakeholders in the future.

Work Experience & Education:

• Minimum 10–12 years of experience, including at least 4–5 years in supply chain finance.
• FMCG experience is highly preferred, particularly in regulated industries. Candidates without FMCG experience may struggle due to industry-specific requirements.
