Senior Manager – Cost Control & Finance Business Partner

Reporting to: Group CFO Business: Logistics & Transportation Level: Senior Manager This is a senior finance role supporting key business units across a logistics group. You will work directly with the Group CFO and partner with Product GMs to understand performance, challenge costs and improve financial decision-making.

his is a Finance Business Partner role with a strong cost control and FP&A focus.

You will be responsible for analysing the financial performance of your assigned business unit, identifying cost drivers and challenging assumptions behind the numbers.

The role requires someone who can go beyond reporting. You will work directly with GMs, ask difficult questions, debate commercial decisions and provide clear financial recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the finance business partner to the respective Product GM
• Analyse business performance, profitability and cost development
• Lead cost control and identify opportunities to improve margins
• Own financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting for the business unit
• Analyse variances and challenge the underlying business assumptions
• Provide clear financial insights to support operational and commercial decisions
• Challenge GMs and business stakeholders on costs, performance and financial plans
• Work closely with the Group CFO on business performance and financial strategy
• Develop financial analysis that helps management understand the key drivers of the business
• Identify risks, inefficiencies and opportunities through financial data

What We’re Looking For

• Strong experience in FP&A, commercial finance, cost control or finance business partnering
• Big 4 background a must
• Experience within logistics, freight forwarding, transportation or warehousing preferred
• Strong analytical and financial modelling skills
• Able to understand complex business data and turn it into clear conclusions
• Comfortable challenging senior stakeholders and debating financial decisions
• Commercially minded, intellectually curious and able to work independently
• Strong communication skills with the confidence to engage directly with GMs and the CFO
