Head of Product

A rapidly expanding multinational insurance company is looking for a talented candidate for a newly created Head of Product job in Jakarta to handle life insurance products and pricing.

About the Head of Product Role:
Reporting to the VP Product and Pricing, you will lead and manage the Product teams across Indonesia team. In this role, you will deliver products to support the company's growth aspiration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and lead the product development and implementation team. This includes product management of all existing current products (in addition to the development and marketing of new products)
• Overarching responsibility is to deliver products to support the company growth aspiration
• Manage the product calendar and prioritisation for the whole company. Ensure the timely implementation of products
• Actively support and participate in discussions and negotiations on product with internal channel managers and external parties
• Develop attractive products for all channels, including sharia products. This includes conducting market intelligent function to provide regular update on competitor products and activities, and benchmarking of the company’s products against a basket of competitors in order to identify gaps within the existing product range
• Monitor the performance of newly launched products
• Coach and develop team members and perform day-to-day operational issues attached to the department
• Assist VP and Chief of Customer and Marketing in all product and business matter

To succeed in the Head of Product job, you will need to have the ability to work effectively and co-operatively with senior business development teams, across borders and internal matrix.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial/Mathematics/Statistic/Economics/Business, however has an actuarial background or ever been working in product development area is more favourable
• Minimum of 10 years' experience in life insurance, preferably in products or pricing area
• Comprehensive knowledge in life insurance products
• Knowledge in Business Operation process (underwriting, administration, marketing, etc.)
• Management knowledge to manage the team members
• Fluency in written and verbal English is a must
