What you'll do:

As a Senior Back End Engineer (Node.js), you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technological direction and capabilities of the team. You will participate in key decision-making processes including code reviews, design reviews, and architectural discussions. Your responsibility extends beyond just coding; you will be instrumental in ensuring scalability, performance and quality across all back-end operations. Experimentation with new technologies and tools will be encouraged as you strive to create impactful solutions. You will also be tasked with implementing a long-term technology vision for your team.

* Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and architecture discussions.
* Be responsible for Scaling, Performance & Quality for the team.
* Set up best practices to help the team achieve coding, design, quality, and performance goals.
* Drive the adoption of these best practices within your team.
* Experiment with new & relevant technologies and tools, and drive adoption while measuring yourself on the impact you are able to create.
* Implement long-term technology vision for your team.
* Ensure that the architecture of your product is aligned to the requirements and the charter.
* Drive technology & tool choices for your team & be responsible for them.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Senior Back End Engineer (Node.js) position brings more than just technical skills to the table. With over six years of experience in back-end development, you have a deep understanding of object-oriented design principles and modern languages, specifically NodeJS. Your experience in building and maintaining large-scale web applications in service-oriented architecture or microservices is invaluable. You are well-versed in design patterns and have an uncanny ability to design intuitive modules and class-level interfaces. Your knowledge extends to databases like MySQL, Postgresql or Oracle and NOSQLs like DynamoDB, MongoDB, Cassandra, Aerospike etc. You also have hands-on knowledge of Docker or Docker compose and monitoring tools like New Relic or Datadog. Experience with CI/CD is a must.

* 6 plus years of experience in back-end development.
* Deep expertise in object-oriented design principles using modern language (NodeJS).
* Experience in building and maintaining large-scale web applications in service-oriented architecture/ microservices.
* Knowledge of design patterns and ability to design intuitive modules and class-level interfaces with experience in data model designing in SQL/NOSQLs.
* Knowledge of at least one of the databases like MySQL, Postgresql or Oracle and one of the NOSQLs like DynamoDB, MongoDB, Cassandra, Aerospike etc.
* Hands-on knowledge of Docker or Docker compose.
* Knowledge of monitoring tools like New Relic or Datadog.
* Experience with CI/CD.
