Senior Frontend Developer

A leading Middle Eastern health tech firm is recruiting for a Senior Frontend Developer job to join their international team. In this job, you will be responsible for developing frontend code and software that is scalable and maintainable.

About the Senior Frontend Developer Role:
Reporting to the Lead Frontend Developer, you will ensure that these all frontend packages and programmes are well documented and have reasonable test coverage by coordinating with others stakeholders on different layers within the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Write scalable, robust, testable, efficient, and easily maintainable code
• Challenge existing frontend code and resolving any frontend related issues by introducing long-term and proper fixes
• Translate software requirements into stable, working, high performance software
• Write technical documentation for all frontend development that is related to your task
• Play a key role in architectural and frontend design decisions, building toward an efficient frontend architecture
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development life cycle
• Join and contribute to agile ceremonies such as Daily Stand Ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, Demos and Retrospectives

To succeed in this Senior Frontend Developer role, you must have the ability to lead effectively and possess a keen understanding of frontend engineering and remote working experience.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelors' degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent practical experience
• At least six years' working experience as a Frontend Engineer with at least two years' experience as a ReactJS developer
• Professional experience with ReactJS or VueJS or another modern JavaScript web framework
• Solid understanding in core web and browser concepts (e.g. how the browser parses and constructs a web page)
• Solid understanding of semantic HTML, CSS, and core JavaScript concepts
• Comfortable working in a highly agile, intensely iterative software development process
• Self-motivated and self-managing, with great organisational skills
• Systematic, analytic, and strong logical thinking
• Proficiency in English both express and written is a must
• Familiarity with modern agile development and all the related tools: JIRA, confluence, etc.
• Detail-oriented, with an attitude that strives for perfection
• Show initiative. You must be able to demonstrate a good initiative and have a problem solving mindset
