Head of Business Unit (Strategy)

This exciting Head of Business Unit (Strategy) job has become available at a leading fintech company in Indonesia looking to grow their new lines of business.

About the Head of Business Unit (Strategy) Role:
Reporting directly to the Co-Founders, this role will be managing the whole business unit including commercial, business development, and business operations teams - all aspects excluding finance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the whole business unit aspects of strategic planning process designed by the corporate planning and business development function
• Develop a product category aligned with a merchandising plan including managing quality, mix, margin and pricing, and assortment optimisation
• Work closely with the co-founders and business planners to drive sales and develop a strategy through deep expertise in quality, positioning, pricing, selection, and product development
• Identify opportunities to drive top-line/revenue growth of the business by leveraging existing products and in conjunction with business planners in integrating customer behaviour information into product and marketing efforts
• Maintain updated knowledge of key competitor product, distribution and pricing strategies
• Be responsible for profit and loss on the category or sub-category

To succeed in this role, you must have more than seven years of work management experience with strong business acumen, and experience in managing fintech products.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree from a reputable university
• Experience working in a fast-paced fintech or e-commerce business
• Excellent business acumen and willingness to be hands-on, and ability to thrive in dynamic business
• Entrepreneurial mindset with great personality and fin-tech start-up experience (specifically in financing products) is a great plus
• Understanding of the e-commerce and digital sector is preferred
