As Head of Sales, you will play a crucial role in aligning local performance with regional and group strategies, while building and nurturing a high-performing sales team

What you'll do:


As Head of Sales based in Jakarta, you will be entrusted with shaping the commercial direction of the Indonesian business. Your day-to-day will involve collaborating closely with regional leaders to align local initiatives with wider organisational goals while taking ownership of critical financial processes such as budgeting and forecasting. You will be responsible for designing innovative go-to-market strategies that respond dynamically to shifting market conditions.

  • Drive overall sales performance in Indonesia by setting ambitious yet achievable targets for revenue growth, gross margin improvement, order intake, and other key commercial metrics.
  • Collaborate with regional and finance teams to support financial performance through effective budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processes.
  • Champion profitable growth by optimising sales effectiveness, refining pricing strategies, and ensuring efficient resource allocation across all commercial activities.
  • Develop comprehensive sales and business development strategies tailored to the Indonesian market, adapting quickly to changing conditions and emerging opportunities.
  • Monitor ongoing performance by analysing market trends and data insights while fostering strong customer and partner relationships to fuel continued business expansion.
  • Ensure strict compliance with company policies, governance standards, and ethical practices within all aspects of the commercial function.
  • Build, mentor, and empower a high-performing local sales team by providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities in close partnership with operations and support functions.
  • Act as a key management representative for Indonesia by supporting the overall country leadership agenda and demonstrating readiness to assume broader responsibilities over time.


What you bring:


To excel as Head of Sales in this dynamic environment, your background should reflect substantial experience leading teams within intralogistics or similar industries where automation plays a key role. Your ability to navigate complex organisational structures will be invaluable as you work collaboratively across departments to achieve shared objectives. A deep familiarity with Indonesia’s unique market characteristics will enable you to anticipate challenges proactively while seizing new opportunities for growth.

  • Demonstrated leadership experience within intralogistics or related sectors such as warehouse automation, material handling systems, supply chain technology solutions, industrial equipment manufacturing or logistics automation services.
  • Proven track record of successfully guiding sales teams towards achieving ambitious revenue targets while maintaining budgetary discipline.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the Indonesian business landscape including regulatory frameworks, customer expectations, cultural nuances, and industry best practices.
  • Experience operating effectively within regional or matrixed organisational structures where collaboration across multiple functions is essential.
  • Strong commercial acumen combined with an ability to execute complex strategies that drive measurable results in competitive markets.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills enabling you to build rapport with clients, partners, colleagues, and stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • Demonstrated capability in managing teams through change while empowering others through mentorship and professional development initiatives.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Management Studies, Supply Chain Management or another relevant discipline.
