What you'll do:

As a Senior Sales Engineer specialising in Industrial Automation, your primary responsibility will be to sell products, solutions, and services within Indonesia. Your role will involve engaging with customers, understanding their business needs, and providing tailored solutions. You'll implement a clear sales process that outlines the customer's challenges, their proposed solution, and the expected return on investment. Your technical product knowledge will be crucial in providing high-quality solutions to automation challenges. You'll also have the opportunity to conduct in-person meetings on large projects, presenting solutions and solving applications.

  • Engage with customers and potential customers to understand their business needs and challenges
  • Implement a sales process that clearly defines the customer's challenge, their concept for a solution, and the expected ROI
  • Leverage technical product and application knowledge to provide high-quality solutions to automation challenges
  • Communicate effectively with customers using digital media platforms
  • Conduct in-person meetings on large projects to evaluate machines/equipment, solve applications or present solutions
  • Work collaboratively in a team selling environment
  • Approach new business opportunities with energy and enthusiasm
  • Develop and maintain a sales funnel with enough opportunities in all stages to meet and exceed the annual sales growth target
  • Continuously learn about automation industry trends and related solutions

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Senior Sales Engineer role will bring a wealth of technical sales experience, preferably within industries such as Automotive, Machine Tools, Port & Shipping, Packaging, and Processing. You'll have a Bachelor’s/Diploma degree in a relevant field such as Electrical/Industrial/Electronic engineering, Mechatronics, or Physics/Instrumentation. Your strong mechanical attitude and experiences in electrical and industrial automation will be highly valued. You'll also have excellent communication, presentation, computer, negotiation and sales skills.

  • 3-5 years of related technical sales experience preferably in Automotive, Machine Tools, Port & Shipping, Packaging, and Processing industries
  • Bachelor’s/Diploma degree in Electrical/Industrial/Electronic engineering, Mechatronics, or Physics/Instrumentation
  • Fluency in English & Bahasa for business communication both verbal and written
  • Strong mechanical attitude; electrical and industrial automation experiences are preferred
  • Possession of car driving licence (SIM A) is preferred
  • Ability to identify, qualify and attain key prospect accounts for potential opportunities; experience with CRM (i.e., Salesforce.com) is beneficial
  • Good communication, presentation, computer, negotiation and sales skills
  • Attention to detail; ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
