About the Business Unit Head (Crop Protection) Role: As a key leader, the business unit head (crop protection), you will be responsible for driving the growth and success of the Crop Protection unit, with a focus on the horticulture sector encompassing crops such as tomatoes, rice, and others.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop a comprehensive business plan for the Crop Protection unit, outlining strategic objectives, growth targets, and key initiatives to achieve market leadership
Identify and analyse market segments, customer needs, and competitive landscape to formulate effective market entry and penetration strategies
Collaborate with a cross-functional team of researchers, developers, and sales professionals to align product innovation with market demands and customer requirements
Create and implement robust sales strategies and execution plans to maximise revenue, market share, and profitability for the Crop Protection unit
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of sales professionals, setting clear performance expectations, conducting regular performance evaluations, and fostering a culture of excellence

Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, industry partners, and customers to drive collaboration and ensure customer satisfaction
The ideal Business Unit Head (Crop Protection) possesses exceptional analytical skills, a strong business acumen, and a proven track record in planning, building, and expanding businesses, particularly within the agriculture and crop protection domains.
Key Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Agriculture. MBA or advanced degree is a plus
Proven track record of three to five years in senior leadership roles, with a focus on planning, building, and growing businesses, preferably within the agriculture and crop protection sectors
Strong analytical skills and business acumen, with the ability to translate market insights into actionable strategies and initiatives
Prior experience in the horticulture sector, working with crops such as tomatoes, rice, and other relevant crops is highly desirable
Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a track record of motivating and developing high-performing teams.
Effective communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with internal teams and external stakeholders
Proficiency in financial analysis, budget management, and performance metrics evaluation
Strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate market trends, assess risks, and drive innovation
Readiness to travel domestically and internationally as required
