Our client is seeking a Category Manager for their FMCG Chocolate division. This role is based in Jakarta and offers an exciting opportunity to provide compelling insights, engage with customers and key account teams, and identify growth opportunities within the category. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing selling programs related to their assigned category's innovation, distribution, merchandising, and promotional plans.

What you'll do:

As a Category Manager for our client's FMCG Chocolate division, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth within this category. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include developing and executing innovative selling programs, acting as a key liaison between various teams, building comprehensive category and customer plans, providing thought leadership on brand & category initiatives, leading the delivery of category dashboards/fundamentals, and assessing critical baseline volume opportunities/risks. Your ability to translate data sources into actionable insights will be crucial in this role.

  • Develop and execute selling programs related to the assigned Category's innovation, distribution, merchandising, and promotional plans
  • Act as a key link between the Customer Business Teams (CBTs) and the Category Innovation, Marketing and Equity teams
  • Build category and customer plans for the assigned Category in collaboration with Category teams, Insights, and CBTs
  • Provide thought leadership internally & externally around brand & category initiatives
  • Lead delivery of category dashboard / fundamentals and recommend corrective actions to ensure targets are met
  • Assess critical baseline volume opportunities / risks and lead initiatives to optimize category performance
